I was honoured to be permitted to attend the coronation of Doriam II.
His assassination was a wound to our Empire, and it pains me that his murderers have still not been identified.
The lack of official statements on this is a cause for concern among many Imperial subjects.
Therefore, I humbly ask the Privy Council to instruct the investigators to provide us all with a progress report on their enquiries.

As a man of faith and loyalty to the Emperor's throne I have to support this humble request. The unsatisfied urge for justice burns in the blood of our people and with each day I fear that this burning might finally throw some of those that waver in faith into darkness. I hardly dare to repeat the infuriating rumours that circulate among those that seem to have lost their believe in the empire. The least of those is that the Privy Council is aware of the identity of the assassin and may have known it from the beginning. As you might have assumed, the spreaders of those words have already been dealt with.
Rumours are aditionally fueled by the fact that there is still no successor to Doriam II to guide the unsettled masses. The accusation that the imperial throne is kept empty on purpose by powers within the amarrian empire is outrageous but still not unheard of these days.
Of course I am in no position to question the actions of the Privy Council, as I do neither share your high birth nor your accomplished understanding of matters of state. Still I wanted to bring the current situation to the Council's attention and humbly hope to be of service doing so. ____________________

If the Privy council causes people to leave the Empire it is the councils fault. These rumors must be squashed immediately for unrest among the people is a sign of an inability to govern.

The Ordo Quaesitoris not only supports this claim, but also offers its services in the analysis and clearing of the facts surrounding such a terrible death. It is our duty as investigators for the Empire to aid and solve as much as we can, specially on such terrible and ground-shaking events such as our Emperor Doriam the Second's death. --------------------- Signature removed due to incorrect size (400X120px and 24000 bytes). As far as I can tell one of the major roadblocks in the process of selecting an emperor is the fact that House Sarum has yet to appoint a new Heir. Not an enviable position to be certain, to be appointed to your position knowing that you might be called upon to commit suicide mere months or even weeks afterwards.
We can only hope that they don't fall for the temptation to appoint a weak puppet as Heir, because as such the least catastrophic result would be the shame (secret or not) of House Sarum. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. They must be hiding some rather compelling evidence, or perhaps information that may lead them to inconvenient places. You shouldn't let your government get away with this. The truth must be uncovered at any cost, for the late Emperor's sake.

In light of consistent inquiries from parties interested, the Privy Council has asked us to shed our light on the circumstances surrounding the process of the investigation into Emperor Doriam‘s assassination.
Forensic agents were present at the scene of the crime within minutes of the discovery of Emperor Doriam‘s mortal remains. A thorough investigation of the scene was conducted, the result of which was recorded and used for further inquiry into the matter, inquiry which before long yielded a complete genetic blueprint. While the identity of the killer has thusly been ascertained, it will not be disclosed to the populace at this point, nor to any influential subset thereof. Our agents are working day and night to hunt down the individual in question, and salient details will be presented to you as and when the Council deems them necessary for the furtherance of your service to your God and your Empire.
In closing, the Privy Council would also like to communicate the message that it does not generally respond to direct requests from people in the spacefaring business, particularly regarding internal matters of a sensitive nature. While the Council appreciates the fact that the capsuleers of the Empire enjoy some social status among the younger races, it would still remind them that no amount of influence gives to a true Amarrian the right to question the leaders of his people.
Thank you. |

It was already stated that the authorities are doing their best to capture the one responsible, that you would further question that on top of the dangerous original requests shows poorly upon your faith.
I cannot believe fellow loyal servants of God would so readily question His chosen ones. It is our place to obey, not understand, not question, obey. It is well and good to want justice for the one responsible for this horrible crime, but to make demands on the Council or its servants, or even worse to insinuate incompetence or treason on their part, is to damn your soul.

I feel honored that our request rose the attention of the Council, and even more honored that the Council deems us worthy a reply.
Be assured that I will act against the faithless and their subversive rumours with renewed strength and vigor.
