Hello. Please forgive my meager search skills if this has already been answered.
I have been able to successfully change the in space overview with desired color / font size and selected items by modifying the .yaml file.
I have been looking to change the window titles font size and color as well but cannot seem to find a file that can be edited.
An example of what I want to do: Let's say I bring up my inventory window. I want to change the font size of the title "Inventory" to be larger and give a red color. Or any other window.
I have found the relevant character.dat file but it's in machine code. Is there a relevant .yaml file that can be created and edited to satisfy this purpose? Or is there another solution?
Thank you,

That will let you mod the ship labels (the name, corp ticker, alliance, ticker, ect. that appears to the right of a selected ship or object). It's a little haphazard but gets the job done, though it glitches a bit if you choose to show modified labels for players in NPC corporations. I would also suggest having no more than two lines for each object label, any more causes Eve's labels to overlap each other when it creates label groups if you hover your mouse over clusters of object icons in space.
As for window headers, not sure you can. Tab names, however, can be manually adjusted in game actually and relatively simply. Go into overview settings in game and click on tabs, which will have fill boxes for entering text to appear for each tab name. There you can insert html codes to restructure the font, color, and size of the text making up the tab names.
http://www.html.am/html-codes/ <- that might help you find some codes to use. Most common to use is changing color, which is +color=red- at the front of the tab name and adding +/color- at the end of it (replace "+" with a "<" and "-" with a ">"). Once you get it down to a routine, it becomes easy to try out different colors, fonts, and properties to spruce up the overview a bit.
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/GyGdcApsHog/maxresdefault.jpg <- I know the image quality is poor, but you can see the overview tabs have differing colors and even the ship labels having different properties assigned to them.
Edit: Btw, the program that is the first link will create an XML file rather than a YAML file, but Eve still recognizes XML when importing them, it just doesn't create XML anymore, so the program still works.

CCP does not allow modifications to the EVE client, and they usually ban for such violations of their rules. You should be aware.

Read the WHOLE line, not just what you underlined.
Though they have permitted both forms of modifications I've listed throughout Eve's life span. I can personally assure you as I have used and currently are using both methods without so much as a single warning, command to cease, or ban in my entire six years in Eve. They have at most been quietly neutral on the matter of modding or using modified overview settings like I showed as they offer nothing for the player that he/she can get in game already, it simply alters the appearance but not the information it shows. As long as it remains purely cosmetic in nature, I'm certain CCP will not object.
And I ask (and certainly hope) any GM, CCP Dev, or other official to correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks. Manually changing the overview changes and their tabs were quite easy to do.
Still looking for some way to change UI window titles. |

You can't change that.
In terms of modding fonts and colour of text, you can only change it in the overview/brackets in space and in the corp titles that can be given to players.
Changing anything else by messing with CCP's files will get you banned if you work out a way of doing it.

Yeah, go ahead and ignore the recent brouhaha with CCP deciding that a program that overlaps, hides, or zooms portions of the client is bannable, but if you just stack the clients manually in Windows so they're obscured the same way is ok, and trust whichever GM has to deal with the warning flags raised by the MD5 checksum mismatches to realize that you only modified client files to achieve merely cosmetic changes.
Because they're oh so understanding, open to communication, and FAST when responding to petitions in the "please unban me" category. |

I think the rack of "unban me" pleas would make interesting reading. Idea for a little book there CCP? |

Cheers, thanks for posting my app here I'd like to know how it glitches if you use it for labels for players in NPC corps though.
It still does make XML-files indeed, so far I haven't found the time/necessity to change this.
Just to make it clear, changing the colors of the tabs/shiplabels is -not- against the EULA. Otherwise this thread would've looked slightly different.
