hi all a friend just tried getting into a mission with a barge.the gate would not let him in.was this a one off? or was this changed in recent patch?

/me looks at quality of tank and weapons you can fit to a barge.
Why in the name of the Caldari State would you want to take a barge on a mission?

meant to slow down ISK farmers of course - take a moa or osprey both mining cruisers i believe

Are you sugesting mine even 1mil+ m3 ore to can, or move them out with 300m3 cargo ship ?
As some mission complexes have many rooms and you can spent half hour just to get there.
This problem should be somehow fixed or there is no reason for ore in restricted deadspaces at all. Its pitty when you probe complex, kill all rats, in last room find omber and are unable to mine it out.

No, just jetcan and use a hauler to take it out. If a hauler wont go in either, jetcan, then "complete" the mission, the gates disappear, then warp to the jetcan (oh yeah, bookmark it!) and then retrieve :)
