Logging a Titan out safely 101.
1 a). Do not announce in gang/Teamspeak that you are planning to log out. Only your most trusted of trusted high command should be aware of this, and only moments before you plan on doing so.
b). Do not announce it to anybody.
2. Drop from any gang you're in.
3 a) Instantly warp to your own personal deep safespot if you have made yourself on in system.
b) Jump to a system where you have a personal deep safe.
4. Cloak instantly.
5. Wait for 20 minutes.
6. Close your client.
You will never, ever be probed down. There is no possible way you can be caught.
Going afk in a Titan safely 102
1 a). Do not announce in gang/Teamspeak that you are planning to log out. Only your most trusted of trusted high command should be aware of this, and only moments before you plan on doing so.
b). Do not announce it to anybody.
2. Drop from any gang you're in.
3 a) Instantly warp to your own personal deep safespot if you have made yourself on in system.
b) Jump to a system where you have a personal deep safe. (edit) Preferably use your own Cyno alt to do this. Otherwise, drop instantly from the gang you used to Cyno with. Warp to your personal deep safe.
4. Cloak instantly.
5. You are now safe to attend to any RL issues with impunity.
6. If downtime comes, upon relogging, you must cloak instantly as you hit that safespot.
The thing is worth in excess of one-hundred billion ISK. It represents the investment of an Empire and hundreds of hours of work from hundreds of people.
You have to consider everything. You have to be paranoid in the extreme. You must never leave any room for error, nor any room for your enemy to capitalise on any ingame mechanics, because if you do, they will take that chance you offer them if they are cunning enough.
That is how eve works. It is a dark, dark universe. Wars will be won at any cost, so long as they remain legitimate within the proscribed rules of the game.
People steal. People betray. People will kill you if you give them even the tiniest part chance to. That is the beauty of eve, and it is why BoB have an outpost named after Machiavelli.
