I find rigs drawbacks too high,
Trying to find a way to use missile rigs, but there is just no way my cpu can take the burden.
The Gallenteans must be destroyed. |

There are really good rigs and useless rigs.
Armor rigs... good for capital ships, but apart from resistance/hp amount ones, they don't work. Stacking them on battleships/CS will cripple ship bad. 1 you might actually live with.
Astronautic rigs: good for things smaller than bs or nanoboats. Why do you need armor if you don't get hit.
Drone rigs: anyone ever used them ?
EW rigs: no relevant drawback tbh, dampa boats are armor tanked, EW boats don't need more than 2 lows for distortion amps and after that, fitting EW rigs is pointless.
Weapon rigs: Another useless section. There are 2 exceptions, cruise missiles (and EW raven) and autocannons. Other rigs will do more harm than good. Especially rigs for lasers are funny.
Shield rigs: drawback much less noticeable and annoying than with armor rigs.

I was using blasterthron 1year ago, that was hard.
Amarr fits easy compared to that. But you have a point, caldari ships are bit easy to fit, especially in t1 department. Minmatar & ac is ... ... ...
And why would people fit t1? To save cpu maybe... but what you sacrifice hardly justifies to use of rigs.
