Curious as to why these aren't reset ...maybe every 24 hours or each week.
Yes they are extremely beneficial for pvp but shouldn't this be the roll of a scout ship instead of a FC with a 10 year old bookmark in a system.
I wonder how the dynamic of pvp would change... Better or for the worse? |

It'd be far, far, more inconvenient for everyone if bookmarks were purged every 24 hours. Wormholers, missioners, and trade haulers would be among those ****** over in a major way. |

Yeah, if you purged bookmarks every 24 hrs it'd be a great boon to high sec war dec groups. "Pay your protection premiums for unmolested access to trade hubs."
The Marmite Collective approves of this suggestion.

Hell NO!
Good tactical bookmarks around gates and stations take a long time to prepare and are an important part of of the game. Getting said bookmarks requires *effort* and a surprising amount of it.
Purging them en-masse every 24 hours would do nothing to 'improve' PvP.
On another note, every so often you need to re-burn insta-undock bookmarks from stations. I used to use a 15,000km Jita IV-4 insta undock that an RvB member had made long ago. Then one day, it no longer acted as a proper insta, so I had to make a new one.

I think this idea is bad, and that you should feel bad for having it. Coming up with good safe spots takes time and energy in EACH system you set them up in... Now just consider that multiplied by however many systems you frequent, which for many of is a very large number.
Just no, a bucket full of no.
Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Well, I must admit; let's all be honest for a moment. This is hardly the very worst idea I've seen. Then again, nor is it the very best or brightest flicker of light either.
This would be at it's very core mostly a massive inconvenience to virtually anyone who plays Eve for more than a 14 day trial (or what ever trial accounts allow nowadays). Hell, even trial account players would begin to loose patience after redoing their BM's 14 times. Worst yet, such a change serves literally no purpose beyond simply being a problem.
So, I say no, spank you.
"Tomahawks?"
"----in' A, right?"
"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."
"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Right. Hey let's take it a step further and erase all human knowledge every 24 hours. Wouldn't that be great? |

they are strategic so pvp would be a mess without them

This forum makes me feel so negative each time I trash new ideas ... however erasing bookmarks each 24 hours is a truly horrible idea that would make my life as an explorer miserable. |

Why not just straight-up remove bookmarks instead? I mean, the point of a bookmark is to save a spot. They serve literally no purpose if you can't properly save a spot for any length of time.
I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!
