Will be interesting to see where they take this.
I agree with some of the comments in terms of it feeling like a CoD style game rather then an open world like Dust514 was.
Once they flesh out the idea a bit more it could have some potential.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops as well. Really hoping they do it right and have multiple environments - from planetary to station to boarding actions.
Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Project nova looks awesome
Unreal 4 engine = win
Hopefully they role out cluster wide planetary control effects And have it interact with Citadels and fighting in them
At least in faction warfare areas |

Jesus Christ, some players in the Dust forums are actually complaining that it's just a lobby shooter initially. |

Glad you like the video. 30K views so far.
So for those of you that played it at Fanfest or have watched the videos, what are your thoughts and reactions to it. How likely is this something you'll be wanting to play and help develop via an alpha/beta now that its on PC and in UE4?

I'd love to play this, just as I like to play Dust.... If they need alpha or beta testers, then i'd love to help them out...
I just hope the required PC specs aren't too high, I can run EVE but on lower settings...
Do you happen to know the specs of the demo pc's they used?

The PC's at Fanfest happened to VR ready ones so far more powerful than what is needed. The Shanghai team are looking at midrange with around a 6 series of nvidia. Nothing definite yet but should give you some idea.

[Feedback]
Essentially the world design that you play in is my perspective at this point since it is eye candy and I can't get my hands on the demo. Different types of environments down the road with height maps\levels would be interesting to watch and play in. There are many locations and types of assets from Eve that could be used while still expanding into areas of the Factions that we have not seen in game \DUst514 such as Home worlds, inside of stations, the inside of asteroid stations, inside casinos, inside citadels, and inside certain ships. It is a great opportunity to build upon the existing locations and lore that could bring the art work into levels or height maps in UR4 within your 16 vs 16 lobby.
I think going between planets and space is a really good idea with levels and height maps to play in. I would hope for better character animations, the freedom to build out your character with skills for the theory crafting side of things, and a lot of diversity with armor and guns that leads to a sense of individuality with Corporations or soloist. This would also lend an ear to PC modders and the F2P store for the game. The quality of combat will really make the game for FPS fans like myself but I can already see the elements of this demo and how combat can grow. Let's also take into account a destructible mesh and how cool it would be to see buildings fall apart from war or even to get sucked into space!!! And let's not forget how damn cool the planetary bombardment looked for the demo for Project Legion.
Just the fact that it is demoed on a PC means a ton to me. I would easily play Eve on one monitor and this game on the second monitor and interact between both engines. But please don't leave the PC community in the dark with this project and not work on it like you did with legion. YOU folks have a great chance at FPS greatness with the concept of starting small and building based on feedback from gameplay. I really hope this makes it to release. It looks fun. I can see myself playing Nova and Eve.
