Hi,
I have come back to eve after 6 years away. I have lost my character but he is still in game.
I have placed a ticket for help but it hasn't been answered in 3 days.
is there a delay in support just now or is there something else I can do to get my character back?
I did not sell him.
I left as my account was hacked and all isk and inventory was stolen twice. so I never got reimbursed the second time. my charcter was still there though.
any help would be most appreciated, thanks |

Did not realize that this was even a thing in Eve until this guy posted about a week or two ago and now you are posting here as well. It makes me wonder.
Anyway only a GM can help you on this one and it might take them a while to sort through the details. The only thing that you can do is wait it out. I can think of nothing that any other player can do to help you. |

Unfortunately, this is a low priority ticket, so 3 days or more is normal. Tickets are handled by a priority system where anything affecting current gameplay like stuck characters or broken quests get high priority and get handled within about 5-20 mins average. Anything dealing with reimbursement or that will require a GM to dig into the logs is going to get not only lower priority, but will probably take longer once they do start working on it.
Overall, I'd give the service a high rating, you're just in a low priority high effort queue. Just be patient and wait for them to contact you back. They might have questions to confirm you are the original owner etc. Also, they might require you change your password and take some other security steps to get your character back.
Just an example from personal experience. When my character got stuck in nullsec, just off a gate, they came and helped me within about 20 mins IIRC. It felt like forever but I don't think it took that long overall. Another time I asked for a reimbursement for an item and it took 4 days for them to handle my petition.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Be ready for it to take up to a couple weeks. There is probably a lot they're going to have to investigate about the issue. Much has changed in six years in game and IRL for EvE and CCP. |
