currently BoB are indeed doing a good job of making the attackers lives hard at critical moments, and yes they have indeed done better on the cap ship kill front thus far. However, what is not being reported is how much bs/support they are loosing in these engagements. In virtually every engagemnet we've had with them thier bs/support fleets have been almost entirely wiped out.
Whilst often below the isk value of the caps that they have destroyed, this is still unlike any losses bob have taken before, particularly over a sustained period of time. As is only natural in this circumstance, they have the advantage of defending (ie. beingable to wait for the attackers to deploy caps and then countering) which will be the case as long as we remain on the offensive.
Whilst thus far they have managed to appear in the nick of time to save a number of pos's or help put a number of hostile 1's into reinforced, all that is actually happeneing is that the inevitable is being delayed. We still have pos's in both 9cg and ed-, we will still have 9cg within the week and ed- within two weeks.
Every time bob come to fix's aid it buys our compatriots a little more time. The have inflicted cap kills on us on 1 occasion. They have attacked/defended against us on at least 8 occasions, loosing capitals of thier own and thier bs/support fleets almost everytime they engage. Their advantage atm is a captial advantage, nothing else. As long as we keep the pressure up we keep them on the hop. The longer we keep the presssure up the less time until lv falls and the ragoons/friends reinforce us.
Even if we can't take Querious, d2 can't take fountain and AAA are held in period, bob cannot remove us and the respective residents cannot survive without bob's assistance. Even if we are held in our respective regions for months, LV will fall and our numbers will double. It will be a war of attrition, but as long as the 3 fronts stay open bob will be stretched in thier defense.
Whether they can cope with being stretched for as long as they are going to be will be the deciding factor. Atm we are being held......nothing more.
