TENATIVE date was set for today, meaning the maybe date was today. NO PROMISE WAS MADE, everyone saying ccp faild on a promise that doesnt exist end yourself, or have a cookie or something. they NEVER EVER have promised anythign and have only ever given tenative dates.

Mmm looks like a pretty non-tentative statement to me...
Oh and btw in your sig.. there should be their ..

Part of the IRC eve channel topic was set to something akin to "Patch = monday 15th".
Now unless you're going to tell me that the moderators of the channel don't have the faintest idea about whats going on, I'd say that's about as close to a promise as you can get.

Speaking for myself, I wasn't anywhere near annoyed about the patch being held up until you posted this thread.

If you're going to advertise for the creation of custom signatures, fix that blasted typo in your own!.

The hold-up is a good thing, in a funny way - it means they really are trying hard to produce their best for us.
Been on the test server a little bit yesterday and it was all good - travel time is the only real complaint but I'm sure we'll adjust.

So CCP didnt promise, but it would be nice to have a heads up earlier than a short time before they rip it down and rip out some n00bs hearts.

Well, if I wasn't a pirate it might be a little different I guess. When you look at it from the carebear(ga(y) side of it. There is no reason that you would want a patch. All your going to do is mine in the new frigates anyway. Have fun with your mining. :)

This is just a guess,
But up until the 14th the patch was going to include things like no warp points at gates etc, and then at the very last moment CCP decides on a new idea (which in my opinion is a good change), this inevitably is going to cause repercussions. I.e. Delays.

That's not true, i'm a carebear and i want this patch. Improved blasters, increased cargo for my indy, new agent system and deep core mining (soonTM)

new patches pave ways for new exploits.. The only way to really work out exploits is by the general populous. 50 people on the dev server are not quite enough. People should also keep in mind that rushing CCP won't help anything because you never know, if they don't get it right all of the items in your hanger might dissapear :D
