Recently moved to Atlanta to join the White Wolf crew. Ivar, who before Hilmar was CEO. He is also one of the co-founders of CCP. He's now chief bean-counter. Add your questions below. White Wolf have a tradition of creating very dark / gothic RPG settings do you percieve / hope that will spill over into the Eve universe? 2. Can we expect more background, history and general 'culture' building of the Eve Universe to flow from the labs of WW? What sort of things do you have in mind, and over what time frame? 3. The CCG is pretty darn fine, but there was some criticism that CCP should concentrate on EvE itself rather than spread itself too thin, do you expect WW to take up this role? 4. How are CCP going to allay the fears of WW community that their game is going to be swamped by the l33t pew pew yaRr crowd of Eve? (seriously folks, check WW's forums!) 5. Any chance of a job helping design the EvE RPG? Q's for Ivar. 1. Sooo...beans eh? Sounds like fun. 2. The PC games industry is a seriously crowded market, with MMOs a niche in that market and sci fi MMOs the nichest of niches (not sure those are real words - but you get the idea). Think CCP and EVE can stay afloat in this climate? 3. How and should CCP diversify it "EvE" market further? We now have a T-shirt, a CCG, and a RPG market to pander too - whats next? 4. Why did/does ccp choose not to enforce the rules equally on all? Why were/are some players allowed to gain advantages from exploits knowingly? WHY has ccp decided to sweep all negative problems under a rug instead of addressing them with full disclosure to their clients, you know, those people that pay(used too pay) ccp a fee each month? and now the highpoint; Why should the playerbase trust ccp after the coverup, failure to enforce their own rules on their own people and those that gained by it knowingly? WHY should we still support ccp? delete this isd, and you prove ccp can't be trusted. These are serious questions that should be answered in the public, unless it is embarrassing to ccp and they want to cover it up still (coverup already failed ccp, look at google, the internet is well aware...)

Are there plans to make a media advertising push (tv, etc) in the works for after the graphics update, since everything will look so much shinier and new, or is the benefit from a tv ad campaign just not worth the cost for ccp, even on specific timeslots/chanels (ie, sci-fi, history, discovery, other "geek channels"). And to whom it may concern: Does ccp believe that eve gains more from allowing players to own and run more than one account at the same time than it loses from having people not have to rely on teamwork and personal skills to attract people with a desired skillset? (roll alts to cyno, not have people willing to do this, have mining alts not protect actual mining players, etc)

Here goes... @Petur While AURORA events are nice and all that, they're usually far too small scale, and the casual EVE empire-dwelling player hardly ever gets involved. Are there ANY plans in place (or at least the intention if not the means) to create a nearly permanent empire presence of smaller-scale but wide-spread AURORA-supported events ? If yes, can you give us an idea of how they would look like, or what one would have to do to find them ? @Ivar With the "company profitability" being your primary concern now, I suppose the recent boom of ISK<->GTC trades (and occasional subsequent GTC<->cash trades, certainly not via CCP or affiliates in the GTC->cash direction) hasn't gone completely unnoticed. While at first sight, CCP doesn't suffer from this directly (all GTCs that end up traded and subsequently used mean real-life money for CCP afterall), after a deeper look it's clear it IS afterall CCP's problem too, as most ISK that get traded into GTCs and then (illegally?) into cash mean the ISK HAD to come from somewhere, and that "somewhere" means somebody has been using YOUR system resources to obtain them, alienating regular paying customers (lag, complex farming, mined out belts, etc) which in turn means less cash for CCP. With all that in mind, what are CCP's goals and wishes regarding the whole ISK<->GTC<->RealMoney™ cycle ? _ MySkills \| Module/Rig stacknerfing explained
Siri Blue Gallente Duvolle Laboratories Blue Division	Posted - 2007.02.21 16:24:00 - [31] Dear Petur, I have been playing Eve Online for over a year now and ever since I started, the agent mission system (rewards, offers, missions, R&D, courier missions especially) has been in a very sorry state. With the introduction of the Dragon Code, courier missions have become an utter joke although CCP promised to fix it rather soonish, agent offers mostly come down to implant offers and rarely anything else although there are so many things in Eve that would make up a decent offer and with the removal of non-isk mission rewards and time boni missions have become even more boring. Also the very limited number of generic missions (both kill and courier) has always been a problem but only one-time COSMOS missions have been added really, agent missions have been utterly ignored the past years. I nearly gave up hope on the PvE department of CCP concerning these issue but with White Wolf joining, maybe there still is some hope. Will you come around and adress these issues and be our saviour? They pull people to the edge of the bubble, leaving fast-moving ships the ability to turn and warp instantly (especially annoying for pods). They break when on the same grid as other bubbles. The launcher is almost completely broken if you don't have interdictor skill 1 or 5 (1 for autorepeating, 5 for fast enough cooldown that you can drop another bubble on manual). They don't pull people out of warp if dropped in a person's path (i.e. the path from gate to gate, about 10AU from either gate). And lastly, they're not big enough to cover a gate completely and lock jump-ins inside the bubble, since people appear near the edge if a bubble is placed on the gate itself. Are there any plans to buff dictor spheres, starting with bubble size (maybe based on interdictor levels)? I know it may not be answered by either of the devs listed, but I really really really... <ad infinitum> ... really want to know the answer. Originally by: Splagada SEED ME DADDY Down with alts! Mining as a profession has gone a long time without any upgrades, are there any upgrades in the works, and if so how long until we see them? q. Mining cargoholds are extremely small, and any effective mining operation requires a hauler due to the small cargobays of mining vessels, are there any plans to improve cargobay size? q. Secure containers are often used in belts as a safe alternative to jetcans there cans can cause massive amounts of lag for any player who comes into the belt, are there any plans to modify or remove secure cans to create less lag? q. For the most part asteriod belts in 0.0 space are left unmined, are there any plans to create more incentive to mine there? q. Several corp in eve are using wardeccing to grief players who join or create any player corporations, these players use stations to hide from any potential enemies they create by declaring war, are there any plans to change wardecs so that players cant use npc stations to shield themselves from war? q. Blob tactics cause large amounts of lag and make it so that individual player skill plays a minimal part in battles where blob tactics are used, are there any plans to reduce the effectiveness of blob tactics? Ionia Advanced Manufacturing	Posted - 2007.02.23 00:40:00 - [38] Edited by: Ionia on 23/02/2007 00:36:45 The demographics of the player base seem to be expanding as EVE grows, it seems that many gamers that are used to other MMOs are joining eve, and many are demanding that eve be more "balanced" (read: homogeneous) which seems to be in conflict with what has made eve such a great game in the past. Have you noticed, both statistically and by your own impressions, that the player base is changing? and if so, in which direction will EVE go in the future? Cater to the newer players (make the best business you can)? or keep the values that the veterans have stayed for (make the best game you can)? Edit: I guess this would be directed at Oveur, but an answer from anyone would be cool :)
