Fanfest is a blast. Getting to hang out with like-minded fellows over a beer sharing war-stories and nostalgia is a good time. Especially against people you really hate in game. You come to realize they're just like you when you meet them in real life, and most often you get to have a few laughs.
It's a great social venue to meet people. If you're a loner, it's a great place to hook up with a corporation. I have seen every year the last 3 years, that people end up talking to guys from another corporation, and end up flying with them in game and have a blast.
Iceland is a nice place to vacation. Though it won't be a vacation for your liver.
I wouldn't wanna miss Fanfest personally. Associate QA Tester for Team EVESec. |

I wouldn't wanna miss Fanfest personally. I don't know stillman... I'm not sold on going yet. My merry men and I have destroyed/stole hundreds of dollars (If you equate $$$ -> plex -> Isk) of assets over the years. (some concentrated within a single corp or player) I would be more afraid that my hansom face being punched in if I showed it at FanFest! Heh, I understand. Frankly, I've seen worst of enemies come face to face at fanfest. You know what happened? It's not pretty.
They gave each other a manhug. And had a beer together. Associate QA Tester for Team EVESec. |

I think Mr. Positive should maybe just stay at home while the rest of us have fun at Fanfest (but I'm sure you would have a good time if you came to Fanfest Freezehunter ) |

Also, I found out what was reducing my FPS so much, it's the ctrl alt shift m monitor. As soon as it activates, it slows the game to about a frame every 10 seconds, and once you manage to turn it off, it goes back to normal. Should I try running Log server? I can't take a look at the real time data because the monitor makes the game unplayable. What should I look for? Maybe a stupid question, but why do you have the monitor open at all? |

Open the ESC menu, and try changing the "present interval", and check if you can get higher FPS if you do that (just an idea, I'm no expert in graphics settings) |

Freezehunter wrote: Can you guys do me a favor and try to activate the ctrl alt shift m monitor in game and tell me if it does the same thing? (be somewhere safe, on my end this makes the game completely unplayable)...
Also, please tell me what GPUS you have so that I can make a biiiiiig bug report.
I have no problems with the monitor on my machine... could you please file a bugreport on this using the ingame bugreport tool, and please include screenshots. Thanks |
