Nice little app for playing most all audio and video. It has hotkeys so you can control it while it's playing in the background -volume up/down, prev/next track, etc.

I won't ever install winamp again. It had my registry so goofed it wasn't even funny. I had problems getting other audio/video programs to play on file extentions I'd assigned to them. After uninstalling winamp it took me 3 hours to manually clean all the stuff winamp screwed up in my WinXP registry. This was 2 years ago though, perhaps winamp has straightened out it's act, but I won't risk it.

Winamp once deleted a DLL of mine but thats the only problem iv had with it in 4 or so years.

I've not had any problems, but I use a version that doesn't have all the bloat too.

I have used winamp since day one and have not had any problems with it I must admit, but I am always open to new suggestions/programs so I will check this one out.

I've always used Winamp and it's just fine, and it can use global hotkeys to work it while it's in the background.
However my MP3 player has JetEffect and that kicks ass. I think you have to buy JetAudio to get JefEffect on the PC though?

Best audio player: foobar2000
Seriously, plays ALL formats, highly customizable, AND.... very little memory footprint. Plus it has global hotkeys.
