Ok, I know IĈm tired of him spamming everywhere about how great he is. And I know IĈm tired of hearing people whine about him. Time for action! What are we going to do about him?
-Make every one set standings to -10
-Make every one hunt him down like a *****?
-Make people aware of him as a threat in game by putting sec containers at every gate in eve?
What do we do?

I think whining about it on the forums is a great start!
Oh no wait, the other one; A stupid idea.
What you do is let him continue to perform his public services. Anyone docile enough to fall for the (very basic?) **** he pulls deserves this tax of his.
I for one had someone pull the freeform scam on me. Must say it was tremendously well done/formatted to look like an item exchange too. Did I fall for it? well no, it says ******* freeform right there.
Paying attention ftw.
And yeah also saw romeo spamming mod & mun for the '10x isk' thing. People spamming RIGHT THERE that it was a scam. And he still got the cash. Good for him.

ROMEO is the current flavor of the month. It appears that every now and again, some scammer becomes top of the food chain for everyone to point their finger at and ask for something to be done.
A while back, they asked for something to be done with Cally
Even further back, they asked for something to be done with Currin
Even even further back, they asked for something to be done with Macro Media.
Face it - You cannot do anything with all these guys (with exception of Macro Media, whos corpse is in a can on the entry gate to Gyerzen). I guess with the Curren fiasco, CCP gave people their isk back due to whining, but thats another story!
Just live and learn and move on!

Its quite intresting. They could all be alts of each other, or members of that scammer school that I think it was Zeepo or Macro Media had setup? Anyhow one thing commen with those classy scamers were that they scammed fair and square and be entertaining at the same time, rather than via a game mecanic.

If you want to get rid of ROMEO for GOOD: -
-DonĈt look on local in Jita.
-Block ROMEO and other known scammers.
-If its too good to be true, it most probably is so donĈt accept.
-Alert the mods and petition to every little thing he does that breaks the rules that are ĉbanĈable.
-Read his Blog so you are up to date with his actions and know what scams he is currently pulled off making you more aware for copy cats.

Now this is what makes me laff my arse of for the rest of the day. I never purchased GTC's for $$, infact i havnt spent $$ on this game for well over a year..
Have you heard of GTC RESELLERS, my self and a goonswawm member use to price fix GTC's we use to buy every GTC for sale on the forums and built up a list of contacts where we then resold them at a higher price, this is controling a market, also known as market griefing, which actually goes on in game.
Now when you have the first idea on business economics then you can pip up mate...

Before i stole all the bpos i had in my research corp i had it all checked over by the GM's more so because i did have an old post on the forums, which was a gray area.

Maybe you should check the screen dumps, logs and my blog, this scam works very well, and i have made well over 2billion ISK from it....
I've had 4 people send me 100million ISK alone and anothre sending me 150million...

well.. no offense but your scams arent that creative. thats all. i like good scam stories, but yours just are no good stories.

but if thats the case you lack the ability to tell them properly.
its just not very interesting what you do, so i think no matter how much iskies you gather, people still will find it not very interesting i believe.
to put it another way: you yourself stated sometimes that those people you scam are the dumbest people one can find. i believe you said even worse things. so.. what does that mean? that the smarter kind doesnt fall for you.

please take no offense in this, im just telling you how i see it. and i heard several others express the same opinion.

Have you heard of GTC RESELLERS, my self and a goonswawm member use to price fix GTC's we use to buy every GTC for sale on the forums and built up a list of contacts where we then resold them at a higher price, this is controling a market, also known as market griefing, which actually goes on in game.
Now when you have the first idea on business economics then you can pip up mate...

Without feeding the wanna-be celeb, his scams lack imagination, is trying to self inflate his image, and his ego at the same time, and tries too hard, even to be slightly admired at what he does.
So my vote is to just ignore him. You do actually remind me of a 12 year old american, i had in my corp at one point.

lol IĈm not trying to get him banned. In this game he plays a role of the scammer. He does it well as much as you guys may not think so. How else would he be so well known, rich and have such a reputation? All I am trying to do is create a way 'In role' to put him to bed (No not in a sexual way LOL) by using the game not petitions to bring him down. Any one who bad mouths him and calls him a noob (offensive way not 'newbie') are most likely jealous of him and his success at what he does.
In this game you take two paths the side of good helping people you meet and trying to stay above the law. Or you take the evil role and be a 'Piewat' or scammer. I have taken the side of good so therefore I feel it will be my duty to stop people like him. All I am asking in this thread is for people to help me in finding away to do that. Some how it has just turned back into the flame fest that is the subject of ROMEO.

If you want to get R0me0 why post publically? Why change his standings given that it has no effect? Why promote him with free advertising?
Given the extremely large number of scammers in eve why only target R0me0?
While I was in Jita over the weekend I noticed a lot of copycat scammers yet no one wants to target them?
Ultimately the majority of victims of scammers have made a mistake, either misreading, not reading, or trusting someone because of greed. If you could cure the above scammers would go away. I see this as the fault of the victims.
