Anyway moving on.
About numbers, the killboard has jarbled together what seem to be three different battles. And only parts of them from what I can tell. For instance on its battle summary it only posts one of my losses (the thorax, it doesn't list the celestis from the second match despite it being listed elsewhere in the killboard, but it does list a carrier that was killed in a completely seperate incident...).
I think for the first engagement LV and CA SUPPORT fleets had equal numbers. The deciding factor was the 6 to 8 LV carriers (I think it was 8 and not 6, but I'm not LV so I can't really say). Whatever the exact number, there were a lot of fighters, 10 went on my poor little thorax right away (they warped in on the cruisers/frigs before our bs warped to us, so their first primaries weren't the usual larger stuff). Plus LV had the station right there to bring out more fodder as needed. But really it was the carriers not the rienforcments.
I survived longer into the second engagement for some reason (I think the LV fc might have been calling targets based on distance, and I had mwded a couple km off the gate where the fighting took place). It started rather oddly and in such a way that I don't think the LV fc quite meant for it to go that way. There were ships that were coming out of the station in 0-W that we attacked (killing one before they warped, we were light on tacklers in the second fight) and then we warped to the gate LV were jumping in from and killed a couple there as apparently 5-10 of them were slightly seperated from the rest of their gang. Then a dictor came a good 20 seconds later to the gate and bubbled it and the rest of the LV gang warped back to the gate on us with fighters again. I'm not sure if the fighters were quite so numerous this time around, but the CA fleet was significantly smaller for this fight (about 45-50 in my estimation, some stragglers so its hard to tell) and the LV fleet was just as big as before it seemed.
I'm not complaining about being outnumbered (our fault for not coordinating with goons). Both sides fought very well and the second battle was probably one of the funnest battles I've been in. From what I understand a good number of CA did manage to break free. I'm not sure if they continued to evade LV's attempt to bust their safes, but I do know they killed the pursueing fighters and cost the carrier pilots a bit of isk.
Good fight all, that ends the tale as far as I know it. Anyone have the story relating to the goon killing of the LV carrier?
this is what the OP's post should have been like, i personally don't expect a CA member to be unbiased, their CA so ofcourse they're gonna spin it in their favor (internationally or not) just as an LV member would.
Its plain fact, people spin stories to suit thier side, its extremely hard to be completely unbiased even when your not one of the warring factions.
I'm for LV, he's for CA....alls cool.
what makes it different and a better read is that any biased in the post is speculative, it could be true it could not. Personally i think thats about as unbiased as you can get when your actively involved in the fight so for that i congratulate you.
oh also, all you people saying "Look one LV member smacked us on the forums that must mean LV are all smacktards"
since when does one person represent and entire alliance?
ill happily admit to smacking in game from time to time but i very rarely do it on the forums, and its the same with alot of LV members, they may smack in game once in a while but no more than any other alliance member.
