Rawne Karrde Constructive Influence	Posted - 2007.02.23 05:44:00 - [1] AAA gets a lot flack on these forums but tonight I feel I must give props to some pilots I encountered. After spending the last week chasing down the nano'd fleets of d2 as they run away, I decided to spend a little time ratting.. I spent 2 hours or so ratting in my favorite system when El Scorpio from The Collective showed up in local. I had just finished killing a spawn and had pulled in my drones. I aligned towards the friendly POS in the system, turned on the afterburner and waited to see what came into the belt as nothing was on scanner. El Scorpio showed up in the belt 60km from my positing and began to close. Intel was that he had had friends earlier, but could be a single. I simply continued to stay aligned and allowed El Scorpio to burn his cap with his mwd as he closed on me from 60km. Once he hit 20km i turned and targetted him. I put on a scrambler, and engaged the 6 nos on my myrmidon. My ogre II's tore through the cyclone with an amazing amount of prescision. No sooner has this engagement started that two more of El Scorpio's mates jumped in. Copeland (armageddon) and Baranor (jaguar), both from the collective had entered system. El Scorpio's cyclone went down as the jaguar entered the belt, the Armageddon soon followed. Seeing I was warp scrambled thoughts of running were gone from my mind and I charged at the jaguar, ogre II's swarmed in on him. I was able to apply my nos for a short time. The jag hit struc and warped out. In hind sight, i'm not sure if he was stabbed or if I simply forgot to turn on my scramble that time. With the wolf out, I pulled in my 4 remaining ogre II's (the jag had killed 1). I was then able to leave the belt. Now call it overeagerness, or simply stupid, but I was having fun and didn't care if my ship died as personally if I undock i count my ship already gone. Having these thoughts and adrenaline still running in my body hehe I warped back in to see if i could land myself on the Armageddon in nos range. I failed to get into nos range and was only able to get Copeland to 50% shield before my ship went down. After all this, the jag pilot was able to get a scramble on my pod before i warped. I saw I was scrambled and thought wow... first time being podded in like 3 years almost. Last person to pod kill me was Raid back in my spectre days of the orginal Curse Alliance. Wouldn't you know it, Copeland and Baranor said good fight in local and let me go. So regardless of what I've read on these boards I now have a new respect for these pilots and their corporation. If the chance presents itself, I would extend them the same in the future. Anyways just thought with all the flaming AAA takes, whether true or not, they deserved respect where respect is due.

I have yet to be insulted or ''trashed'' by them after losing a ship/pod. If only I could say that about ever corp/alliance that has shot me down.... BoC you've done it now, even the carebears are gunnin' for you...
