I sold my pve stuff and am planning on moving to null sec, that being said the Corp I am looking at contracts with a certain hauler for 500 isk/m3 plus 15m. Most of my combat sp are missiles and drones, though I did unlock ishtar as well. I succumbed to the temptation and bought a skill injector to grab a few pvp skills and now have 950m left to move to null and get set up.
The cruisers would be cheaper to move but rattle would be better dps, oh yeah the Corp is based out of Gurista space so that may make a difference. Which ship would you choose and what fit? |

Watch out for the new Guristas Dreadnoughts...
I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Given that there is a major war in gurista space right now, you're probably going to want something that can move around pretty fast to dodge hostiles. So that pretty much makes the rattlesnake useless.
So, do you have better medium drones, or heavies/sentries? |

Ishtar is far better, sentries are also better. Mediums have travel time which lowers overall dps and can force you to leave them behind in case trouble lands close by. With an Ishtar you can sit further away from the warp in point, which is already safer in itself, and you can instantly pick up sentries. |

A 100MN AB fit VNI can do Forgotten Hubs and even Sanctums (or Havens, can't remember, one or the other). It's also much cheaper than all the ships you've suggested.
Just be warned, this is not an AFK ratting ship, you'll need to keep a half an eye on it and blap any Mortifiers first (they do pure thermal damage and will wreck you if left alone).
I've made billions of ISK with this ship.

Rattlesnakes are cheap as chips and a beast for ratting if you don't mind the missile travel time/counting volleys.
Ishtar is ok if you want to go Heavy drone ratting.
VNI is ok if you want to go Sentry drone ratting.
Gila is...well good if you don't have access/skills for heavy drone Ishtar and don't want to sentry drone snipe.
So taking in your skills and financial situation. I would wholeheartedly suggest grabbing a couple of Sentry VNI(Vexor Navy Issue) and go to town.
They're like 100 mil with hull + fit, so you can afford to lose a few where as a 300 mil hull + fit Ishtar or 500 mil hull + fit Rattlesnake makes the inevitable loss of a ship harder to stomach with your wallet. Budget in some pvp ships and the choice for the VNI becomes even clearer. Prices were pulled out of my ass but the order still stands.
Couple days later of rolling around dat dank null sec isk you can probably easily swing the more expensive stuff. For now live within your budget. |

Just an update, there were no vni available and I wanted to start playing so found an ishtar fit that was used for 10/10 Guristas and I copied it, on my 3rd haven I got an escalation and when i ran it in the ishtar and all said and done recouped what I spent setting up the ishtar.
The ishtar was a little slow as set up for the anoms and I felt that I had nothing to do with no high slots so I manufactured the rattle bpc and set up the rattle as an active shield brawler with almost 1300 dps. It does the sites much faster and now I have the ishtar to run any escalations I get.
Out of my initial 950m I am down to 190m plus an 23rd overseer and a pith x em amp to sell next time I go to high sec so still about nearly 500m.
Thank you for the advice and fits, I appreciate it. |
