Edited by: XARiUS on 17/12/2003 04:37:12 According to the Ishukone agent roster, I have a lvl 3 agent who is "Available" to me. My caldari faction standing is well above whats needed for this agent, however he refuses to talk to me?
The one thing I have missing, is the Ishukone Corporation standing of 1.25 which is supposedly required, however wouldn't that prevent it from showing up as an available agent to me?
Someone said that the Faction/Corporation standing was an either/or type situation, so since my Caldari faction standing is over whats needed, it should work, right?
Has anyone else run into agents who are supposedly available, yet, seemingly unavailable?

Right now you MUST have high standing with the corp in question.
This is very unfair on anyone whos spent ages on a different npc corp, it affectively makes all their efforts, in a word, worthless.
I hope CCP come up with something. i have two suggestions right now:
Make it based on faction standing, ie. If i had High Caldari standing they would still be available
The other is for each corp to have agents, not necessarily research ones.. For instance, Industrial ones, or mining ones that give rare ore, or rare items.
Security ones in which pirates may drop BPs, or rare items.

I agree it should really be either or for the standings. Either faction or corporation. My problem with the whole thing is, I spent AGES using concord agents previously. So not only did I lose all concord agents, but I have hardly any corporate standings at all.
On the plus side, most of my faction standings are excellent thanks to the hard work I put in on the concord agents previously.

I have an idea. Lets give everyone a high ranking level 3 R&D agent and hold hands and sing kum-ba-ya.

what about the good old "win game" button ??
since the ingame news for Roden Shipyards and the Contract with the Gallente Federation, I focused all my agent work to Roden - thus totally ruined my standing towards other factions - and now you Concord Hoppers with excellent factions cry for not having the Corp Standing it takes to do research ?
It was announced far back in time that Concord & DED will be disabled - time enough to build some Corp standings within the empire and fubar your Standing to other factions - please donŠt come crying to the devs now for not having a R&D Agent ....
(further the departments and agents were available on this website since itŠs relaunch - so you could have checked what corps have research agents in their structure to build up the Standing before Castor - you didnŠt so donŠt cry ... )

Are missions the only way to raise faction standing? I tried to kill some npcs, but did not seem to work. Is there some documentation on how to raise faction.standing?
