I hope I am not the first to say, Hats off to CCP for a very nice job done with the new eve update".
As some of you have suggested the game now is to hard or too diffrent.. Well if you have played the game since the begining there is a point where you cant very well further yourself thus the game become boring. Dare i say boring but yes boring since there where no NPC's that could stand up to you and no PC would fight you..
They added a whole new level to this game with awesome potential how about prasing them and move back to empire if you cant hack it.
Also nice job moving the bistot and other higher minerals ou in deep 0.0 now Stain and other regions will have to fight for it!!

After talking all the crap about CCP, I have to say I LOVE EVE NOW. Castor has done wonders for this game and made it like it should have been in the beginning, this is fun again. Thank you CCP, you made the game what it is suppose to be. |

They allowed small corps to set up in 0.0... now all of a sudden, oops, we have to move back! Rediculous.

yes they did aloow them to move out to fast nice job on fixing that... Now heres the catcher large corps like the one i am in can barely survive out there leveling the playing field...
you should all embrace this and realize that bieng in a good corp or starting uup astrong corp is now mandatory...

What potential is that? Fight NPCs that are 1000x harder for the same reward? That's not potential.
As for the "You can't hack it" comment... well neither can you. I can only assume you have not been to a belt with 10 Cruisers and 5 BSes spawning 15km from you.

I dont like what they've done with the npc rats but I can understand it. Its actually dangerous to mine & kill npc rats nowadays unlike before.
I do see a big change in corporation roles & I think its for the best.

The pirates are hard now, no doupt about it. But, we are also getting alot better guns and modules to counter them. If that doesnt cut it, the first few days after patch are used to nerf, tweek and optimize that needs to be changed.
So everybody should just chill out for a while and see how it will turn out.

I could swear the box says choose your destiny..
If people are "forced" into forming/joining corps...where's the choice? Why shouldn't freelancers be allowed to prosper without having to do agent missions?

Exactly the point. Nothing should be "mandatory" in this game. Small corporations should be economically viable under proper direction. Now they simply stand no chance of staging mining operations in 0.0.
WTF are all these ships coming from anyway? These pirate corporations have enough battleships to drop 5 in ever belt in 0.0 space every 10 minutes? Why don't they just overrun the Empire and get it the **** over with?

I'm a freelancer and I love the potential and the challenge. As a single person I don't think it would be wise for freelancers to go it along in hostile space unless with friends and I do believe even without a corp, small corps or groups of individuals from different corps or races can still band together. They do this all the time in other MMOs why can't they do it here?
I'm a freelancer and I'm dedicated to see how far I can take this course. I consider myself quite successful in my operations in the Gemini period of EVE, and now I look forward to the challenges posed by the Castor period.
I don't have to go 0.0 directly. The RPG element in this game has run its course during the previous age. Dangerous areas are supposed to be dangerous; instead they have become repetitious "farm" and "mine" land. I think it's just right to put the bite and the fear back to 0.0 space. I think it's time to put the respect back into the environment of this game, for NPCs to be bad ass. For those who lost their ships ( and I nearly lost one myself) take this as your 9/11 or your Pearl Harbor. Time to toughen up. You had it easy, now face the challenge. This is a game and a game is only meaningful if it's challenging.
Yes I will adapt. First I will start with 0.4 systems for now like a newb once more and work my way down. I think I can survive on the bounties for a while, and help cover people on local. With enough relationships and alliances, as well as tech 2 upgrades on my ships, we will challenge 0.0 space again.
I will confidently predict after a week or two of teeth gnashing and people losing ships, some people will adapt, and others will follow to turn the odds even against seemingly impossible NPC forces. I've been in this game long enough to see what seemed to be ridiculously difficult goals eventually conquered, and not just conquered but even repetitiously accomplished to be the point of menial routine. It will be done, and give some time, you will have hunters in single ships knocking out those armadas of npcs over the belts.
I remembered the first time I had my cruiser, or at least one of my cruisers. A Sansha Butcher nearly balded my shields and a pack of 5K Enslavers and 4K Slavehunters left my Celestis smoking and burning in a 0.3 system. Not too long ago, I flew a Maller against six to eight 40K Marauders and thrashed them without losing a third of my shields. And that was pretty routine---and many people accomplish these feats in a regular to daily basis.
So yeah, I won't underestimate the way people would adapt to the challenges presented.
Thumbs up yeah for the patch. For the first time in months I am truly excited about the game.

I wonder:
How many of you saying "good job" gonna curse CCP later on when no one mines high end ores or are able to reprocess enough loot items for the rare minerals. Right now as it stands the amount of BS's lost today will pretty much use up all the reserves corps have atm in rare minerals.
Thus no BS's are made to replace lost ones. No production no sales, no sales not able to get back out for mining. etc. etc.
If CCP does not change what they did currently to the NPC spawning in 0.0 atm then all the isk in EVE not gonna buy anything, since NPC don't sell minerals or high end ships.

Yes there are some bugs atm, but they are minor, and I'm sure you'll work them out sooner or later.

Go by a cruiser and stop crying about lost BS. Cruisers are now viable options for many roles like they should have been. even frigates have a good place out there in combat and support. LEARN THE GAME, LEARN THE PATCH, ADAPT.

anybody ever wonder, hmm maybe they don't want everyone to be in a battleship? Maybe it should be used as intended, as a capital ship for corp wars and not gigantic miners? I think it's cool the uber corps can't set back and get fat and rich. Balance has been brought to EVE. Love it, live it, or get the hell out.

I think the changes are great.
I really hope that we start to see more frigates and cruisers from now on. I've had loads of battleships, never really wanted any of them but was forced to use them in order to compete. If were all in cruisers we'll be more likly to fight as its easier to replace. It also makes it easier for new players to get involved which is a good thing. It seemed silly that new players needed to train for months before they could PvP. The new agent system should also make it easier to get implants so loosing them shouldnt be such a problem.
As for the hard core NPC's I recon they'll be tweaked down a little but I must admit I like the chalenge. Reminds me of just after release when we were all in frigates and a single NPC cruiser took a team effort to take down. The fear and excitemet has returned. :)
Over all good job CCP it was worth the wait!!!
Oh and I know its just eye candy but I love the cloaking on jumpin.

just like to say ROCK ON!
Took this patch out for a test drive this morning before work and it kicks ass.
I was a little freaked at first when i couldnt see my ship, till i hit a bit of lighter background and saw my Armageddon flickering, was very cool.
And to all those miserable mining whingers who cant adapt to the considerably stronger NPC threat............STFU have a cookie.
0.0 is suposed to be HARDCORE and it now is. This area of space is supposed to be infested with NPC scum and Player scum, Kudos to CCP for finally implementing the NPC part.
Myself am looking forward to refitting my ship tonight and and going at it hammer and tong with some NPC's see what im capable of.
Thanx again CCP for the challenge.
FU(K U CAREBARE WHINGING MORONS!
Lord Guerdo Biomass Cartel I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

I, personally, was sick of seeing people using scorpions as shuttles. Now they are slow and can get killed by NPCs... yippeee!!
I hope more get lost. BS should be a luxury. Glad its getting fixed. Now all we need to do is keep the mineral shortage going for a few more months...

Jupp great job CCP
I can't understand all you people. Really? The game was extremely dull before since there was no challenge. I killed more than a 100 pirates/hour (the hardest one) before. Yea that was exiting, bang, bang, bang...zzzz
Well now we FINALLY HAVE TO FIGHT TOGETHER which is awesome.
We will bring out some battleships and cruisers and try them out one step at a time.
And really guys, you think you can bring a tiny, tiny task force into China and fight their army with 1 or 2 ships in the real world too?
