Greetings, space travellers!
We've got a few new graphical features and iterations coming to you in our June 28th release hitting Singularity today!
First up, an assortment of new and reworked visual effects:
Triage mode overlay effect - We've updated triage mode to provide an overlay effect (similar to Armor Hardener effects) as well as an animation state.
Discrete VFX for certain modules - Previously, Tracking Disruptors and Sensor Dampeners used the same effect and Remote Sensor Boosters used the Tracking Computer effect. These have all been updated so that Disruptors and Dampeners have their own distinct effect and Sensor boosters now draw a stretch effect to your target instead of the Tracking Computer's "swirl" on your own ship.
Black Ops Cyno - Has its own portal effect now instead of sharing the standard Cyno's portal.
Armor Repair Drones - These guys now have an effect more fitting of their size instead of using the standard Remote Armor Rep effect.
More Secondary Lighting iterations: We have updated Hangar scenes under DX11, High Shader Quality to include point lighting instead of the global lighting that was present before. Best described with a before/after pic (use the scrollbar at the bottom of this post):
As well as new lighting in hangars, we have also introduced secondary lighting from boosters! This lighting scales in brightness and illumination range when you gotta go fast:
Stargate V5++ Renovations Alll stargates have now been updated to our V5++ Shader standard.
Tactical Overlay Iterations: We have added the following to the Tactical Overlay:
- Cyno portal range has been added as a translucent red sphere, indicating the radius at which the cyno portal will spawn from your ship.
- Action lines (such as for fighters) are now tied to the presence of the overlay.
- Module hover indication time has been increased.
- Ship and fighter orbits are now represented (WIP)**.
- Velocity/Chance-to-hit information for locked targets (WIP)**.
- Click command confirmations**.
**These features are not considered complete and may not be present on Singularity as of this post.
We are looking forwards to hearing from you, especially regarding any ideas you guys have for the WIP features of the Tactical Overlay.

You are missing the scroolbar in the bottom of the initial post, yeah, not the best of mechanics I would agree.

Fixed the images to tile vertically. Should be more viewable now.

The orbit plane is purely representative right now. We'd have to sit down with game design and plan out the ability to select your orbit by using the Tac Overlay representation. We're having a mass test this evening (5PM EVE time) and will be checking the tac overlay out as part of that. We hope to have the velocity indication and vectors for your ship/targets in as well, but I will update here if that is not the case. As far as the chance-to-hit information goes, it's probably not going to make it in to this release but we think that the velocity and vector indications are a solid foundation to build that information into the overlay.

I'll check that Phantasm issue out. Kill marks won't copy over using copyships, as far as I know, but I'll double check.
