Currently there are 4 ranks:
Admin - speaks for itself. Manager - Almost an admin - can add/remove members, but cannot promote/demote/block admins Member - just a member - cant modify or see the list Blocked - speaks for itself.
The issue I am running into is this:
I want to put in place a set of lists for all of our Alliance corporations to use on their Citadels so they all have the same settings from a general pool of lists. The ONLY way I can do this is to have the CEO (or his preferred corp member) added as a manager to each list. This is fair enough, but these managers then have the ability to add and remove members from that list and to also add/remove managers This is a pain in the neck as far as security goes as a manager can then remove the entire alliance/coalition from docking rights (apart from individual Admins)
FIX::
Add a 5th rank to the assets list options - lets call it 'Assistant manager'
Assistant Manager: Can view the Access list and use it in any of his corporation Citadels (provided of course he has the 'Station Manager' Role given to him by his CEO/Directors) He cannot modify the access list in any way - he can simply use it in his corporations citadels.
This would enable Alliances to have their member corporations set the same access lists so things dont go screwy, and would enable them to easily modify the lists at Alliance leadership level and have it affect all Citadels within the alliance (provided of course the members use the access lists) |

How exactly do you do that? Trying to do that now, and the trade window is not populating.
Trying to drag an access list into the trade window, but it doesnt appear there. I can drag it into a chat channel, but it only gives the list name and description when you click the link, and the link cannot be dragged into your own access list window.

I am looking for the ability to be able to create a 'Master' access list that Corporations within an alliance can USE but not modify. Create your list then simply drag&drop from Access List to chat/mail/bulletins/etc other manager for citadels can now drag&drop this list from there to attach them to their citadel. They dont need to be part of that list to grant access to services for list-members, but also cannot see who is in it (or modify).

I am not able to do this...
I have an access list created on one character. Dragged the list into chat (also tried mailing the list)
On the second character, tried dragging the list into my own access lists. Nothing happened. Tried dragging the list into 'Docking' window on my profile settings. Nothing happened. Opened the list and dragged from the link Icon. Nothing happened.
If I click the link, I can see the access list owners (admins) but nothing else, so cant even drag members into my own lists.
the only way I can use the list is to make the second character a manager and it then auto populates the second characters access list with this new list.
Both characters are directors within their own corporations so have all necessary roles. |

Drag&Drop the Accesslist to the Service NOT to another Accesslist. Try to drop it on the top line not the empty space below.

Thankyou VERY much for this. Documentation REALLY leaves a lot to be desired with this... as in non-existant.
Much appreciated. |
