At 19:00 GMT we noticed there were some problems with transactions, this affected players doing missions amongst other things. What exactly happened is yet to be located but the server had to be taken down immediately to avoid further problems that would affect the whole playerbase.
Further news on this will be added but it seems we need to be down until this has been fixed. How long we may need to be down is unfortunately yet unknown but we hope we'll be up and running again as soon as possible.

quick update.
I phoned Valar and he has looked into this and has found the problem. He is fixing it right now but when the server will be restarted we do not quite know yet.
Once the server is started it will be in VIP mode. meaning only we can connect. We will be doing a basic check to make sure all is well, then it will be opened.
i will try to get you the information as soon as i can but i'm not pushing Valar for the info yet as he is quite busy.

cluster is starting now in VIP mode with full proxy servers and all sol servers.

everything seems fine at this time, but there is 1 small problem we are looking into. Valar and the main DB programmer are looking into this.

ok. the 1 problem is that new journal entries are not displayed. but that will be fixed and they are still being logged in the DB.
we are allowing people in, but manually throttling.

new journal entries has been fixed live and is now working. old entries will not show up til after tomorrow's downtime.
cluster is now set to have 3k people per proxy (28*3000) and allowing 300 people to log on per minuite.

Proxy Servers (21364 online)
server seems stable. all market regions are loaded and working fine. The DB is under heavy load right now, but it can manage just fine.

everything is fine now. load is normal. new journal entries are now showing and the old entries will be back after downtime tomorrow.
unsticking and unlocking. flame away if you must

Agreed, thanks for the updates and stuff. A skill of mine finished just after the servers went down, so I was on the edge of my seat for the whole time
