Ok, I know the button to make a screenshot is the print/screen button. Unfortunately my laptop does not have such a button. The shortcut is also locked so i can't switch it to another key. Is there a way i can take screenshots? What am I missing?

There are other programs out there that can take screenshots of games and even capture in game footage.
Fraps is the most commonly known one (or at least the only one known my me) whch can take screenshots, record videos and show framerates as well. There is a freeware alternative to it, I believe, but I can't remember the name of it.
there is also an IM client called XFire that can take screenshots, although it does leave a big ugly watermark in the corner.
My tip would be either get a licensed copy of fraps, or hunt around and see if you can find the freeware alternative.
Ok, had a quick hunt and couldn't find any freeware things.

Are you sure you can't just press Fn + the screenshot button? If the keyboard button is blue, that's when Fn key is used.

Is you do CTRL+F9 (Again to Restore), the interface will vanish and just do printscreen as normal. It works for recording as well, i use CamStudio, with EVE in windowed with the region select function to record EVE only. Works A Treat!!!
Also on a laptop, some use a hotkey by Windows (My laptop is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+P), which works as a normal printscreen button. It should be written in the manual somewhere, but it is a rare function. |
