The level of player disgust with the castor patch has reached levels of self destructive behavior. A corp mate of mine tonight witnessed a player self destruct his battleship and leave the game.
I submit to all the PAYING CUSTOMERS in the Eve Universe that with the ability to control players characters and control users access for each cd key, it would be a small matter for them to post a castor patch vote. I mean if they can for some disgusting reason prevent us from allowing our alt's to train simultaneously, a simple yes or no vote would be Childs play.
I have heard and seen how with one mighty wave of a hand, weeks and even months of character attributes and skills training have been rendered useless, leaving incredibly skilled players sitting on a dock wondering just wtf to do now, in a ship that by the current market value isn't fully covered by insurance.
I hope and pray that this thread doesn't attract the "stop whining morons" or the "legends in their own minds" crowds with the same pusillanimous responses they give in every other thread regarding the concerns of "Fellow Paying Customers".
The level of change in this patch may be following the natural progression of the game towards more player vs player or player to player commerce rather than relying on npc purchases etc; but was implemented in a poor manner and inconsiderate of the, (once again with feeling) PAYING CUSTOMERS.
Poor downtrodden saps who have done hundreds of agent missions, poof all gone.
Woe unto the "well rounded player" who now not only can't refine at the rate they bloody well earned, but couldn't sell the minerals if they wanted to.
Lastly, what in the name of poor Les Moore were they thinking cutting the security status of everyone based on faction standing...Pirates coming to a 1.0 dock near you...
Please don't self destruct, but if you really need to, convo a nOOb near you... |

If anyone else is going to self distruct. I'll take your Raven isntead. I lost mine to NPC's and since I doubt CCP is going to replace it (even though they admit that the rats are currently not how they wanted them) then I will be cancleing soon too. Maybe if I can get a new Raven and get back to empire space to do agent missions I might stay, but hell I can't even mine anymore to build me a new Raven :-(
Oh and yes I am a crying little baby, I lost my pride and joy to a crazy ars CCP joke. WTF were they thinking putting 15 40k-85k rats in a system that had no better than 30k rats before?

If you fools would have simply logged onto Chaos then you'd know what you are currently up against. Iggnorance isnt an excuse and battleships aren't your right as an Eve pilot.

Its not sad to see him go, its sad to see him not even try it... And even if he did... He could have lost his bs to npc's, and have fun while losing it.
Quiting is just a easy way out.
I lost over 200 mil in items due to bugs and even with workarounds with the describtion and i was damn hard thinking about leaving when they told me they couldn't see a damn thing in the logs because their tools suck.
Its a mather of adapting now on castor, either way ill be leaving when another good game like Lineage2 will come out due to the lack of support/service i had personally experienced. The only reason for me to leave Castor was the warpscramble thing that they removed on the last moment.

sure it is m8-but this is a game that beside some some fun doesnt do anything else 4 me.
i hear alot of plp say ADAPT-but this is only a game its NOT that important-

Oh is that what the last 8 months have been? A beta? And I got suckered into paying for it?
How do I get my 8 months of fees back? I thought the game had gone gold and now I'm told it was a beta test?
Hmmm...50 bucks for the game, 12.95 a month to play...can I send in a petition to get reimbursed for working on the beta? Or do I call my card company and claim erroneous charges?

Self destructing is too easy IMO, I'd rather gear up my ship and make a suicide run against a station or something... or better yet, finally try and take down as many PKs in FD-MLJ or PF-346 as I can!!
I agree, I think a community wide vote would be nice. Forums don't cut it for this task.

now if you dont like a game, leave, close the door behind you...
why does everyone who wants to quit have to tell the community about? it may be the majority is more interested in northpole's weather broadcast than in wheather you take your leave or not?
or is there maybe some desire to at least one time get into the spotlight, if not through achievements in the game than at least through a well composed whining/quitting posts?
also it seems that many people just got too used to the ability to simply kill 6 times and up their size combat craft with no problem...
people forgot the ability to adapt and if they are facing a new threat, calling for game changes is soo much easier than to think and find new ways.. sure there will be many ship losses while trying out, but at least its a lot of fun.
there you go.. now all the ranting about how bad castor is made me myself post a rant

How did Keenon get into Celestial Apocalypse anyway? This patch was viagra for PvP for crying out loud. You should be happy, ass hat.

Oh where to start let me see you are an arrogant idiot thatÆs a good start. (And by the way I fixed your grammar and spelling) Maybe some of us tried but we could not get it to work, maybe some of us have other lives and can only play a little so played the game instead of helping beta test for CCP, or maybe it never occurred to us that we were being setup this badly. And from what I have heard form some who could get on it is still not the same as what was tested. So bite your self.
And as for Battleships being a right no one said they were we just donÆt like to loose what we have worked months for, because we are playing a new game and were not told it was a different game.
Oh and yes IÆm very well I canÆt say it here some would I will not, but I donÆt have to pay to play this game either since they donÆt know how to balance anything sometimes I wonder where they were trained. They would never have lasted in an engineering school small changes for balance you do not rewrite the whole program. You fix what does not work, I can only conclude that they think the whole program is broken then I have to ask myself why I am paying for it.

letÆs see no one told me this was to be a pure PvP game that is what you are saying that they changed it so the PKerÆs get the advantage because the oneÆs who want to be able to mine canÆt. Well I hope you are wrong because if you are right then the statement that I made in my prior post is 100% true and they are catering to the PKerÆs. I was under the impression that this was a multi faceted game not a one dimensional one.
CCP would you please clarify this are you changing this to a pure combat PvP game if so then all us miners can quit and save our money and let the PKerÆs have there fun
