IÆve been asked as a favour from two people to make this notification and thatÆs exactly what IÆm going to do. Any complex tangential questions arising are probably best directed via eve-mail to the principles though I will be happy to clarify anything that I can relating to this message itself. I am writing here with the full support and sanction of my cousin the Star Fraction executor Jade Constantine, and Lady Revan Nefaris of the Blood Veil Sani Sabik religious sect, and would appreciate that any potential charges or allegations of me not being duly authorised to make these statements be fired out of the airlock alongside the trash before we begin. Clear? Good. So here we are. First off, IÆm going to announce that Lady Revan Nefaris is no longer married to the ex Glamour Bunny actress turned capsule Impresario Kaleigh Doyle. The marriage was formally annulled after Kaleigh Doyle announced her imminent death and committed suicide by means of a poison pill outside of the capsule in a Blood Veil facility. The individual Kaleigh clone that married Revan Nefaris is dead and gone. The marriage is dead and gone. ItÆs over and with it any obligations, bonds, associations and assorted elements of social custom are rendered void. The personality of Kaleigh Doyle has apparently survived this ôdeathö however, and itÆs assumed that she had either a multiply-conscious jump clone arrangement or portable mindscan device to ensure the continuance of her sentience against the gesture of suicide. Either which way itÆs of no great consequence, since her words and intention to slay her own mortal body have been taken to indicate a desire to end the union and allow her once-partner to proceed without leave or restraint henceforth. What happens to the genetic legacy of Kaleigh Doyle clones hereafter is of no concern to her once partner Revan Nefaris. This marriage is an ex-marriage, itÆs gone to dust. Next, my cousin ms Jade Constantine and lady Revan Revan Nefaris wish it to be known that they are consummated lovers and have been since well before the marriage of Kaleigh Doyle to Lady Revan. While having no intention of their own to marry or formalise their relationship further (and accepting that the posthuman condition of technical immortality brings many complications to traditional vows in any case) they have exchanged gifts and tokens of mutual affect and admiration as befitting their status as prominent capsule-pilot leaders of broad wealth and considerable means: Lady Revan gifted Jade a Rattlesnake Class Gurista Battleship ôravenousö for use in her coming wars while Jade in turn laid the keel of a Revelation class Dreadnaught ôla reine le veutö for the Lady of Blood Veil to use as forward base on her own campaigns. It is fitting for the Fraction Executor and Mistress of the Blood Veil to pledge faith with starships after all, such vessels represemt freedom and possibility and the bright ambitions of our future. Beyond this Both CEOÆs maintain full responsibility for their respective organisations and their interests in business and conflict remain undiminished. Jade will not be adopting the Sani Sabik religion and renouncing the cause of radical freespace and Lady Revan will not be abandoning her faith and ideologies to jump into guerrilla freespace advocacy. This is a friendship and intimacy of lovers, an association of equals united in mutual desire and admiration. Answering your question, Nathu'l, I have had 2 marriages: Lord Jeserat who we divorced by mutual agreement and Miss Doyle who commited suicide, therefore, annulating our vows officially. I also find it funny that Revan/Jade considers podding to be the equivalent of a divorce. If that is the case then I doubt this marriage will survive all that long. This is legal precedent established (see Khurasani vs. Macx) to prevent people from committing suicide temporarily as a way to avoid bankrupcy. This has not been tested in court regarding marriage, but certainly has on debt, payments, alimony and joint asset custody. So while Mrs. Neferis and Mrs. Neferis may be off the marital hook, so to speak and depending on the jurisdiction, it would be best if there was no mortgage, ship payments, adoption, child support nor asset ownership issues left unresolved. I certainly hope the Neferises parted amicably. Otherwise, they could be soon learning of an entirely different form of blooding...
