its funny though :P
its even more funny when you discover that your bandwith gets chewed up because someone is hotlinking stuff like mad so after a little investigation you swap the image to a totally inappropriate pic.
i did that to a ***** once who just wouldnt stop hotlinking my stuff even after i asked him about 4-5 times.
he also thought he was cool by stealing my bandwith.
he cant access those sites where he linked my pics to in his name.
moral of the story here is, dont hotlink stuff when you know ppl dont like you and dont be a ass to them if they ask you to stop hotlinking.

it is still gingers own fault as he linked to a image that is not under his control and could be changed.
had he hosted the right image somewhere on some webspace wich he had editorial control over the image then this wouldnt have happened.
so how much you argue it will still be his own fault.
as he was stealing the bandwith of that person and that person gave back what ginger deserved for stealing his bandwith.
the thing is still, dont hotlink stuff as it will come back and bite you.

How many people here do use eve-files or somethign similar, tis just not something youd think of when you link to the file, im 100% sure my pictures are in a safe place but until this post i wouldnt have thought twice about where my pictures are hosted or that someone may change them.
In the end its still a hotlink to a picture that i havent hosted myself in a place that i have no futher control over.

yes it would be your fault for displaying it in your bio ingame.
on the other hand if you download the image from eve-files and host it on your personal webspace then nobody but you can change it.
you are responsible for what is shown in your bio not a webspace hoster who is ****ed at you stealing bandwith.
although chribba's eve-files is well moderated you shouldnt **** him off though as he can change your pics.

yes unlucky, but the fact that the guy who changed it then asked for him to be banned for the picture is inexcusable

ginger is banned for posting a hotlink
the hoster is guilty of displaying the obscene content and then attempting to get someone banned for it.
it's discusting tbh
so how do you know that it was him who petitioned it?
the amount of crap you guys have spewed out it could be any of several hundred ppl who dont like you and who saw the image.

you still dont get it do you?
the website hoster is not accountable for any images that ginger minger steals and links to.
if he finds out someone who does link his images without credit or asking permission he are fully within his rights to delete or change the picture to whatever he wants.
as for the exploit argument, silly as ccp has no jurisdiction over the website only for what the person owning the account displays and the player displaying the pic is accountable for his bio not the website owner.
