Alright, not terribly new, but I'm running into an annoying issue.
When selling various things, you've got yee'ol jerkwa- I mean strategic capitalist, who has set a price a usually less than 10% the market average at a regional range to catch anyone who can't be bothered to check the price prior to selling their scrap.
Now, there're other prices listed as green to me, so, I try setting it to immediate, and setting to price to exactly what those are offering me. Doesn't work. Comes back telling me that it cannot find those buyers, and thusly, I'm left staring at the price list, wishing I could just right click and select something like "Sell to this buyer."
Am I missing something, or is the system horribly broken?...

They're green, but if you look closer, they probably have a minimum quantity, so you'll need to sell to them 10 or 1000 or whatever units at once.
Your other option is to place a sell order yourself. Click the Advanced tab, set your price, select a duration. Then your order will show up in the top half - items for sale - until the time runs out or someone buys it. This method doesn't get you instant gratification, but it can get you the better price.

¼_¡¼ I Knew I forgot something, min amount is 1, ran into that a while back with Isogen... So, that's not it either.
I'd sell'em, but the buyers are mainly NPCs. (Tags I picked up a while back... No money really, but even in pittances, there's a huge difference between 50k and 100.00 ISK...)

I am confused.
On the market you have a "green" buyer with an order paying 50,000ISK.
On the immediate sell window it comes up with a price of 100ISK.
Is this correct? Are you sure you are looking at the same item in market that you are trying to sell?
If it is tags then maybe your faction standing plays a role but I am not aware of any faction requirements.

As I understand it, you are wanting to sell an item and are getting offered a terrible price for it at the exact location that you are in?
The 'green' offers are the ones that clever buyers have set to, as you point out, catch the noob sellers who are too clueless or lazy to change station/system. They are people that have trained the appropriate skill to make a buy order several jumps wide.
The way to beat those people is to simply use the filters on your market buy/sell menus to select by, firstly, price (either low or high, depending on whether you are buying or selling), and then range.
Price is obviously important but, maybe more important is range. How far are you willing to fly and is it worth your time? I find a mix between the two using intelligent marketing techniques is the way to go.

If you're selling tags and the like, the NPC corps who buy them have buy orders out for them, set to a station range, IE to sell to them, you have to fly to that station.
The other green orders with range you see are players trying to cash in on people too lazy to fly to the npc station to sell the tags.
Concord/DED buy Overseer personal effects and low rated pirate tags. Faction navies buy tags from the opposing two factions (EG sell Gallente and Minmatar tags to the Caldari Navy).

The green bars aren't totally accurate; make sure that you're actually within range of the order. If it's an NPC order, you have to be in the right station.

Like it's been said, make sure you're in range of the actual order that you want to sell to. Sometimes that means you have to go to that particular station.
If you're sure you're in range (i.e. not a green bug), you can try to use the advanced screen to set up a sell order for the price that buy order is asking for; the market should then match it and the order should complete right away.

Ara... Thank you all. I wasn't aware the Green tag was somewhat bugged. Thought it would be something obvious like that.
I'll try it out next time I play.

I believe that the green bar is bugged in that a "Station" order will show up as green as long as you are in the same system as the buy order. Therefore, you could be at a different station and out of the range of the order, but it will still show green. I'm at work so I can't check to be sure, but I seem to remember seeing that.

Yeah, I've also seen the station/system thing.
