I would really like to play this game, but due to numerous bugs and petitions that go unanswered I haven't been able to even complete the tutorial. Does CCP monitor this message board at all? Do they ever read the petitions?

Edited by: John McDuff on 06/03/2007 16:45:04 Yeah they monitor but its mostly a place for players to help each other as well. If its a common problem your petition may take some time as there are only so many GM's. If you include some details on your trouble there may be some experienced players or ppl who encountered similar issues who know how to help you solve it.
PS. - Oh and if you want a hand give your thread another title, people will ignore this as its considered a flame.

IMO EVE is probably up there as one of the -least- buggiest MMORPGs currently available. If you are truly dissatisfied with the level of finish/un-bugginess of EVE, I would recommend you to perhaps give Star Wars Galaxies Online a go.

I have played SWG and WoW and never had any major problems. With EVE, I had problems running it the first time, and then couldn't even get through the first parts of the tutorial due to bugs.
It looks like one of my biggest issues (not being able to sell anything) was fixed by creating a new character for some reason. So now at least I'm able to actually play the game...
I really would like to like this game, but its first impression was pretty bad.

rarher then crying, why not ask for help on these boards?
not able to sell stuff, hey and ou havent gotten through the intro, i imagine you are trying to sell your civilian gatling gun, or your newb ship. You cant sell these as there are no buy orders for them, as they cant be recycled.
In terms of installing the game to get it working, it is the easiest game to install ever!
So stop complaining and just ask for help from the community.

m8, your situation can be explained by either as mentioned, by the fact that you were trying to sell in a region that noone was buying, but then by creating a new character you were now in a new region where someone was goofy enough to buy civilian and rookie stuff. ------------------------

I was frustrated with the game...didn't mean to start a flame war.
I was attempting to sell Tritanium in my items list (not in my ships cargo) which I refined from Veldspar. (all of this was done as part of the tutorial). Eve would let me attempt to sell the item but nothing would happen when I clicked the "sell" button. I think this was happening because my character was created around the time that they were having the server issues that affected the wallet and transactions.

The GM's in this game are fantastic. As are the dev's. You wanna see a buggy game? Go check out Anarchy Online. I played that for 5 years. And you know what? Some of the bugs that where there when I started still exist to day. I think one of the Eve dev's "saved anarchy online" when, on it's launch day, went totally **** up. Thats what I heard anyway.
