Simply put....
Assuming you have sound active on your client (I might be the only one!), whenever someone broadcasts in your fleet, you hear "ping", "bing", "JOHN CENA!!!".
Features include: -Menu that allows you to select only desired broadcasts to make a noise -Menu that allows you to select different noises for different broadcasts -Menu to pick a sound from a pre-furnished list. -Ability to add sound clips to the list via a folder in the eve client -Volume control for broadcast noises via the ESC sound menu tab.
That is all. I, for one, wait for the ability to assign this to targets broadcasted and this when someone needs reps. The eve client is very busy, and having the option for an audio cue to draw attention to one of the most important aspects of flying in large fleets would be great. |

If you're in fleet as f1 monkey, you should be listening to the FC, which is an audio notification on its own. If you're logi, you should have your broadcast window set up properly and be paying attention to it.
You aren't wrong. But often times the pilot is doing more than just staring at his broadcast window. You are watching your position compared to your fleet and the enemy fleet. You are looking at the overview for tackle ships getting close. You are selecting mods, etc etc anything you can think of that doesn't involve staring at the broadcast window. And there is a lot to do. Having the option to enable audio pings seems like a neat addition to help pilots notice when new broadcasts come in while they are actually flying their ship. That and who doesn't love custom audio clips?

Well that is more an issue with broadcast discipline... If your fleet can't hack it, then it won't go well. I am logi fc pretty much every fleet in anywhere from 50-200 man fleets, and I can definitely say it would go well. |
