AMD Opteron 148 (currently at 2.2 GHz, can easily be OC'd to 3.0 GHz on stock cooling with current mobo) 2 GB Corsair Value Select (tested and it runs just as well as XMS) DFI NF4 Lanparty Expert mobo (the number of options is a bit overwhelming at first, but it is the best I've found so far) Turtle Beach Catalina sound card 320 GB WD Caviar SATA HD Leadtek GeForce 6800 GT Thermaltake Xaser V case
I also don't recommend Thermaltake cases as they have a lot of wires, and if you're not obsessive/compulsive it becomes a real chore getting them all tucked away.

Looks like a nice setup, the fatal1ty board (as written) isn't what I would have hoped for. You get good performance from the Lanparty? When I was getting the one I'm currently using I was debating between those two. I'm about due for an equipment overhaul.
That Tai Chi case is horrible, the water cooler that came with the 500 or 600 dollar version I got was broken on delivery, and not great to begin with. The case weighs a lot, seriously, and the amount of cuts you get on it are sickening. I havent noticed any cooler temps using it then my last case, the only plus is once you rip out that crap cooling you have ALOT of room in there.

While I love how my case looks, I agree. I intend on upgrading to a new case as well eventually, that or I will just build another PC when I get the money ( If i do that I wont be upgrading the mobo as mentioned above ). --Sig-- Anything posted by me is my opinion and not that of my corp or alliance. |

Oh wait, that was just a simple CPU made out of a bunch of wires and IC chips to do simple arithmetics. But a computer nonetheless, albeit a very primitive one! -------------

It feels great! Managed to run 2 instances of EVE-online, Oblivion and WMP at the same time without feeling any slowdowns at all! Only downside is that it gets hot, really hot! I need probably go watercooling before I can do any serious overclocking.

Originally was a watercooled PD930 and ATI X1800XT running on an ASUS P5WDG2-WS. Had it OC'd to 4.2GHz on water, but I got tired of the maintenance and have since tuned it down to 3.3GHz on air. Plan on upgrading to a Core 2 Duo in the near future. --------------------- Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity |

I have also set my computer on fire through normal use (no overclocking), I have cooked a hot dog on my processor (tastes bad) and still use the processor later. I have also dropped the computer out of a 2nd story window. The damn thing still works :)
