For cross universe travel and gate crashing Tristan with 2 1mn mwd and 2 partial hull overdrives, 1 cap recharge, 1 cap relay. Over 5ooo m/s easy!

hmm, complex multi mwd use, well i just use 1 mwd on any of my ships (ive vetoed and sold my battleships nearly a month ago now) and i find them all fast enough, i pack the low slots with 30 m/s over drives and everything is great, my usualo suspects i fly are my thorax and incursus, the thorax cruises at just under 400m/s and over 1600-2000m/s with 1 10mn mwd, which is fast enough, and the incursus cruises at about 450m/s and will hait 2600m/s or there abouts with 1 mwd and will keep it up for long enough to do what ever i need it for, alternitively a rifter with 1 mwd and over drives is about 550m/s cruising and around 3200m/s with the mwd i think, and to be honest i see little poinbt in going any faster, as you take little dmg at these speeds, you can field a full arsenal, and still have reasonable shields, but thats just how i like to go, fly fast enough not to get hurt, and hit as hard and fast as possible, then get the hell out before any one knows whats going on

for missions I use Vigil:
1 stock ab
1 stock mwd
1 stock overdrive
2 basic nanos
= 3400+ m/s

The all-time record before castor was ~3,000,000 km/s with 6 MWD on a scorp, 2600 m/s with a BB w/6 AB. Now it's around 4km/s with a frig.

correction: 2abs + mwd on vigil does 4761 for me, prolly more if you trained acc control and such (mine is low)

Get yourself into a Rupture fitted with two Lif Afterburners. You can go up to about 7200 but after 250-300 km you are out of cap. For long travelling (and no use of guns) the setup are perfect, one boost for both afterburners give you a hit at the stargate at about 3500 m/s and cap recharges until next time to hit, and you can go travelling forever. |
