Stacking four ballistic controls has such low returns that it is just wasteful. Seriously, you'd be better putting a nano in one of those slots, but a DCU at least helps beef your tank a whole helluva lot more. yeah i agree on stacking penalties, this actually made me curious so i took my regengu fit and swapped out a bcu for dcu but im unsure if the 120dps loss is worth the extra tank (which is already totally crazy), it certainly does beef the tank on hull and armor which would increase survivability quite a bit. It's definitely something to put the first time you try a site, but once you get comfortable running something and you know your tank holds you should go back to higher DPS. The real balance that many people screw up is paper DPS vs applied DPS but BS heavy sites obviously don't have that issue as much as wormhole sites.

The key to tengu ratting is a small shield booster with officer shield boost amplifier. Don't forget to pimp out rest of the mods and use at least 1 mismatched rig and/ or a cargo extender so it looks funny on the killmail. But srsly.. If you absolutely have to do those sites ninja style than tengu is probably best choice, even unbonused EM is better than slowboating 30 km into optimal with the other t3's. Fit a fuel/ missile speed rig/ missile computer to shoot stuff at 40-50k. The DCU- depends on the ship, fit and intended use. Not worth to put one on a pve tengu. It's shield tank and a cruiser (relatively small buffer in armor/ hull) so if for some reason you going down with 90% resists on shield, you will pop in 2 seconds once hostiles reach armor, with damage control or not.

Took awhile because I hadn't done this one before, but I have an idea on how to improve my time to complete it. 5 hams, 88% em/therm resist, Large shield booster/shield boost amp, 4 CNBCS and a power diagnostic with max CCP rigs. The only real "problem" with this site is that you have to think. I know most people don't like doing that, and with only 25km ham range, to make sure you're traveling along a path to take you to the NPC's efficiently and accommodating for rat travel path deviation, it'll probably be too much work for most people to want to take on. I prefer the maze, but this one is doable.
