Wow and EvE are completely different in terms of gameplay and target audiance.
In WoW you can't lose anything you have unless you choose to destroy or sell it, in eve anything you have can be lost. In WoW your safe everywhere unless you choose to PvP, in Eve your only safe in a station.
In WoW almost all equipment comes from loot or is purchased from NPCs. In Eve the economy is completely player driven.
In WoW PvP is meaningless and has no consquenses as there is no looting, no items lost, no territory to control or resources to gather. In Eve PvP has meaning and consquense and is a major factor in almost everything.
EvE is high risk for high reward. Wow is no risk and you get rewarded either way, you just get rewarded faster if you win then when you lose.
And finally Wow is designed to appeal to everyone, Eve definitely has more of a target audiance, people who are willing to play a game where you can win big or lose it all are sadly a dying breed.
theres some npc driven economy in eve... consumer goods for example.

wow can be a perpetual cash cow for blizzard and they wont need to make any other games.

StarCraft Universe is StarCraft Universe. eVe is eVe but eVe wants to be WoW in space. Irony isn't it?

i sure hope eve doesnt become wow in space, ill quit and probably /quit life.

I'm sure wow doesnt have players hanging around 8 hours picking there noises inside a pos shield, people mining for 12 hours a day while watching ****. Eve is just as sad of a game as wow.
oh wow has people mining 12 hours a day, they just might be sitting on a "mount" instead of high tech vehicles.
