Years? It's a laptop. I'll be impressed if it can play contemporary games well... -
If you go into your options menu, there's a difficulty slider. Put that all the way over to the easiest setting and you'll be fine. |

That should run Eve, I recently bought one of these and it has kept me sane when working away from home. Plays Eve just fine, the only issues I had were dodgy wifi connections.

You should be okay with anything fairly recent. My old IBM X30 laptop is good enough for changing skills and highsec mining and it hasn't even got dedicated graphics memory!

I would say do NOT attempt pvp on a laptop, much pain will likely result.
As for doing managementy stuff like skills, market orders, etc, my bargain basement Acer is nice. Aspire 3004WLCi, cost $650 over a year ago. You could probably high-sec mine in it but I doubt you'd enjoy it much. I pretty much use the laptop for changing skills when I'm out of the house.

I got me an ASUS G2P Gaming Laptop. Check out this Link AUAS G2 Review. I Love this laptop and it should last you about 2 years playing EVE and some of the newer games on the market.

Please don't exagerate, a good laptop can play any game well. It's just that most have crap video cards.
I can play games like Oblivion fine on mine, and eve is a cakewalk.

I use an Advent 8109. It probably would have trouble with PvP or Jita but for trading, changing skills and high-sec ratting it seems to work fine.

I wouldnt use anything under an Ati x1600 or nvidia gf7600 mobility versions if you want future proofing. ( New DX9 Client etc)
Currently though the lesser versions like x1400 x1200, 7300go have no problems with EVE.

ORLY? Oblivion doesn't run that well on my desktop (it's a few years old now) -

Im currently using a Sony Vaio S3-HP with 1.6GiG centrino cpu nvid Geforce go 6200 128 Turbocache and 1 Gig memory, works like a dream in fleet battles , Has enough power to run 2 clients for 0.0 ratting mining and general running around, only draw back is the screen is a little small @ 13" wide screen but im used to it now so dont notice it as much, but I am looking forward to being able to play on a decent comp again when its built.
