South of Heaven [SOHCO]

Organized: We have seasoned leadership with a decade-long track record across multiple titles. We are not masters of EVE, but our decision-making is consistently transparent, thoughtful and well-planned.
Entrepreneurial: We encourage members to be engaged, take risks, create their own content, and help us to build our presence in the game.
Relaxed: We emphasize participation in fleets, but we respect real life priorities. We seek a balance between continuous improvement and plain fun.
Sovereign: We are committed to null-sec as the most unique and exciting way to experience EVE. As a values-driven group, we are a proud member of the Blades of Grass alliance. Read more about Blades' philosophy here.
Current Status:
Earlier this year, our second recruitment push was interrupted by the war against CFC, in which we were active participants. Our alliance made the understandable decision to close our doors during the early months of that conflict. We've now settled into our new home (Branch & Deklein, the former Goons stronghold in the North). So we are ready to open recruitment once more, and we hope to meet a few new pilots this summer.
Summers can be quiet in EVE, and SOHCO is experiencing this as several of our pilots are busy with family or career activities and not as present in the game as they typically would be.
Our focus over the next few months will be to re-establish a weekly rhythm of corp roams. The coalition and alliance provide no shortage of content, with fleets in every time zone, every day. But we believe that it's important for us to fly in corp-only or corp-mostly fleets in order to develop our skill and strengthen our social bonds. So, the ideal applicant will have an interest in small gang activity while also being able to contribute to large, coalition-level fleets.
Applicant Requirements & Next Steps:
We prefer applicants who are USTZ, PvP-focused and have some previous exposure to life outside of hi-sec. SOHCO hopes to see you in at least one fleet a week. We also expect active communication on our message board.
That said, we do not see ourselves as "elite" - we are still learning (and making mistakes!) every day. If you are a newer player with strong initiative, we will absolutely consider you. Applicants with an industry focus are also welcome, provided that you maintain a PvP presence as described above.
