I just went into DXDiag and removed soundcard hardware acceleration in case that is the issue but there was a statement that if the comp is crashing and not just eve, its an issue with the hardware or drivers on the comp.
Can anyone help me? I just lost my drake because of this in a crappy level 3 mission because I couldnt boost (I both active and passive tank and I wouldve been fine without the crash) I petitioned the loss and hope I get reimbursed but really what I want more than anything else is to get rid of those bluescreens.
My old comp ran eve fine and I run two accounts now and I just got this new comp built but im seeing these errors. They arent occuring with vanguard or WoW but I prefer Eve so instead of cancelling my account Id like any suggestion towards fixing the error.
Unfortunately I cant read what the blue screen says before the comp restarts but Ill try to get it down and post it here while losing another 4 or 5 ships to crashing (probably). |

You can find the message on the blue screen in control panel -> administrative tools -> system log.
Most likely it is your video drivers, or possibly your system overheating.

Yeah normally it is overheating somewhere.
Turn back your overclock if you have one. Also could be memory. Eve is really finnicky and will stress it highly.
Turn off sound. they claim to be fixing it sometime :)

Sound will hard reboot your system depending on the soundcard. If it's happening outside of Eve, clean your fans.

Edited by: Holy Cheater on 14/03/2007 11:20:35 Turn off sound ingame. It helped me, when I encountered a similar problem (blue screen when someone opens fire). About error lookup: turn off auto-reboot or look system logs.
