When CCP are launching the walk in stations part, shouldent CCP make small games we can play over a bottle of quarfe?
Games like, Chess, Checkers, dice and so on?
This would only require the gfx, and a way to move them, as we already know the rules, so that part should be up to us. Later on they could add gambling maybe?
and hell, why now launch the eve card game in game also? make the cards something worth collecting? :)

yeah, something to entertain yourself ingame would be nice. Like solitaire and other card games. I would suggest tetris and other fun games like that, but then there would be copyright issues.

CCP: Please make ship loot to drop in a can next to the wrecks. Edit: On the test server you can now salvage wrecks with loot. After a succesfull salvage the loot is left in a jetcan. |

I'd like to see things like this, but strictly fictional games made up or adapted from real-world ones.
Anything straight over like chess would ruin RP. (gambling would be fun, Fedo-fights!)

Ruin RP? There is RP in EVE? 
Ok, sorry for being sarcastic. I just think there are not enough differentiations or limitations to warrant the term roleplay.
On a more serious note, yes, preserve as much as possible of that little RP atmosphere we have.

It'd be kinda fun to play the CCG ingame, maybe if CCG cards were individually serial numbered. Then you could load your CCG collection into Eve and play. So far I've never met another Eve player or someone who plays CCG in RL so I have no motive to buy the cards, this would change that and it seems appropriate in a weird way.

I can see it right now: In station gambling given a galactic wide weekly contest..
For example, players can place bets on certain eve related games like that Mind Link one or whatever its called where people battle each other useing implants and what not.

Yeah some games in station would be a great thing. Maybe even make some NPCs in the bigger more established station that you can play for practice...and the ability to bet on a game would be a bonus. Also I don't think having chess for example would be breaking the RP at all. Eve is so far in the future you can basically do anything and its roleplaying. I mean technically smacktalk is roleplaying...not that I'm suggesting we all start. Also the backstory says they came through a gate from near earth so its not much of a strech to say they would know some of the more popular games of earth.
Seriously though back to the minigames if you had a option of playing someone 1v1 or maybe more people then you could bet on the games and you put in something at the start modules, ships, isk could be quite a little feature and a different way to get things in a eve. Get Texas Hold'em Poker in there don't think its owned by anyone. Also if you wanted to do a poker type thing you could have tournoment style where you have a set amount to play and winner walks away with all. Or just open were you can rock up with as much or as little as you want (as long as you have enough for the blinds or whatever) and you can walk away. Think it would be great to see both options.
We deff need something to do in stations because otherwise the pretty new graphics its gonna be like cool shiny new graphics and a week later everyone will go back to clicking the menus cuase there faster.

Wait, what are the odds on this happening?
I am sure some variants of card games with similar rules to what most of us are used to would be possible...especially if they could be worked into the Ambulation Project. I would really like to run a casino for a legal way to separate miners from their ISK.

I've desperately wanted a station-bound poker / black jack game while camped in station a while back. Sometimes there's nothing to do when you log in but talk to your corp mates while waiting for a seige to lift or a skill to finish.
I'd vote for a player versus player poker game or a game where players play blackjack versus the "house."
It could either be run by a handfull of NPC stations in low sec or by player stations in 0.0.
An idea who's time has come.

I'm not quite sure about Checkers and Solitaire, but having mini-games within EVE would be so awesome. :) I don't see that in too many MMOs, and honestly I believe it's something they're missing!
For example, in Final Fantasy 7 there was this one area you could go to do a mini-snowboarding game, and a few other minigames. Instead of shutting the game off, when I was bored, I'd just go there and play some mini-games until I was ready to get back to the main game.
This is really a great idea, I hope it get implemented. :) Come on CCP, revolutionize the MMO scene! :D

I don't want to bring it up - But SWG had story relevent games like jubilee wheel (roulette) and slots (i forget the name). I'm sure there are some sweet games in the future we couldn't even try to imagine into life yet. We would have to leave it up to CCP to have the writers come up with a game of chance or puzzle type game with a point of origin from the various races.
Roulette is nice though - I'm a pro.

 Another SW:KOTR player?  Cool. I agree a series of in-quarters or in-pub/bar games that include a single or multiple players is a very good idea. And, yes I agree it should somehow be related to the different yet diverse Races and Regions of the ever-expanding EVE Universe. /signed

Being able to play games shouldn't be limited to just in station?
In large mining ops, it'd be nice to be able to play Poker with your mining buddies. Beats staring at a rock all day. I already know Corp's that do this on Yahoo while mining. Would be nice to see it in gangplay.
The Eve Collectible Card Game online is genius too. Would be like two games in one. Would be able to buy cards on a station, or on the website with real money and have digital cards. Can play in station, or warp to players in space to play maybe?
Could trade cards with guests at stations too. Or sell them on the market for isk. A whole new form of income for the economy?
Friendly game of Pazzak anyone? :3

very good idea ... "hmm station is camped ... let's visit the pub and play checkers" ;-)
It just would be nice to meet at the pub after a mining or some pvp and play some little games together. It would be really nice if they are releated to the races like the amarrian version of checkers or a Splinterz simalation (the robotic duells caldari love to bet on).
