I want to fly a stealth bomber but Im not sure which one is the 'best' one to go for. I want it for running in low secs and ganking (duh)or just running small cargo through gate campers. Since Im trying to specialize with missles (Caldari is my main)I was thinking this may be a good ship to use since Im not overly fond of big slow ships (Yeah I know stupid eh?)Also whay type of set up could any of you recomend? Im still a noob so any help would be welcome :) Thanks!

They fit HORRIBLY!.
For example the gallente SB has more PG than the Caldari SB but only 2 launcher spots while the caldari one has 3. You can barely cram 2 launchers into the gallente SB and have anything else useful on it so just imagine how bad fitting 3 on the caldari SB is.
Stealthbombers currently need major work (and they are going to eventually, something about being an anti blob ship).
For the time being my stealth bomber has been reserved for the duity of blowing up an enemy's miner's canisters so their corp has no minerals to build with (when you can get 1 missile to kill a can this can cost people more money than destroying ships over time). ------------------------------- C.D's Formula for success ------------------------------- Credit Card = Game Time Card Gametime Card = ISK Therefore Credit Card = ISK.

I kinda noticed that with all the low powergrids on them. Sadly though this is one of the most appealing ships to me other than the covopps ships. I love being able to sneak around places i shouldent be heh (I play rogues/thieves on other games as a main class) .

Manticore is the best imo. It fits fine with Arbalest Launchers, but trying to stick t2 could be hard. ______________

To fit a stealth bomber nicely u need cov ops lvl5 to free up as much pg. But with cov ops 4 u can sacrifice a midslot to fit a auxiliary power core to boost pg enough to fit something else. And TBH, i can fit a stealth bomber just fine :P and its bloody funny watching frigs crap themselves wen u launch a barrage of cruise missile at them from nowhere -------------- You need isk to make isk, unfortunately i dont have the isk to make isk so i cant invest isk to make myself some more isk to make more isk with. ... Sucks tbh |

I currently only have Covert Ops II but fit my Gal SB with:
2 x Limos ProtoCloak
Passive Targeter
and whatever the ocassion seems fit for the other slots. I do need to run a PG mod of some kind usually in the lows though.

I have had lots of fun with my Manticore and my Purifier, my setups look something like this.
Highs 'Arbalest' Cruise Missile Launcher x2(3 for the Manti) Improved Cloaking Device II
Mids Sensor Booster (best you can get your hands on) x2 Phased Muon Sensor Damps (2 for the Manti)
Lows To your taste
For the lows I tend to go Nanos on the Purifier and cap power relays on the Manticore, so that I can get cap back as quickly as possible.
I noticed you said that you want to sneak around, but keep in mind that you cannot warp around while cloaked. You can only move around an area while cloaked.
That aside, as far as quick ganks are concerned, you are only going to be ganking t1 frigs and haulers. Even then, they're going to have to be in the belts and not notice you warp in (or you're already waiting cloaked).
Another little thing that bugs me, the Manticore has a terrible warp range. Any large distance means multiple warps, hence the CPR's to get that cap back up while in warp so you can continue.
They're fun, but mine have been parked and I have halted training on them since rumors of a new weapon system have been floating around. No point in training t2 cruises since I don't fly battleships. --- Hey hey let's go kenka suru! Taisetsuna mono protect my balls! Boku ga warui so lets fighting! LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!!! |

You cant warp while cloaked? no I didnt know that. Kinda kills off the 'surprise' factor I would think as anyone in their right mind would just warp out or be ready for you when you uncloak.

Only ships equipped with a Covert Ops Cloaking device are capable of warping while cloaked, and I think only Covert Ops frigates and Force Recon cruisers can mount them.

You are correct sir. Force Recon and CovOps Frigs are the only ones who can warp cloaked and only while mounting the Covert Ops Cloak (for which you should have Covert Ops 5 or Recon 5 trained to get a decent fitting).
OP: Yeah, it does kill the whole surprise factor, and the stealth bomber community has been *****ing about it for ages, but it is still fun as hell to fly around as if I have an afterburner while cloaked. It's one of the ships I use for small supply runs while at war. It's also fun two shotting cruiser sized rats. Right now, it's more for ****s and giggles than true tactical ability, unless you get a massive group together to go alpha-striking stuff (which would again be ****s and giggles). Oh, and the ore can thing is good for war purposes or ****ing off miners.
Oh, another tactical thing, if you're locked and in weapons range, you are dead. If anything locks on to you, you can't re-engage the cloaking device. That's what the damps are for. Right now, the pattern goes, decloak, engage sensor boosters and prime damps and lock, fire, cloak, move. Rinse and repeat. Granted, you won't need to be so careful hunting haulers and such, but anything that can fire back is a threat.
Edit: forgot to prime the damps, hehe, I just sploded myself. --- Hey hey let's go kenka suru! Taisetsuna mono protect my balls! Boku ga warui so lets fighting! LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!!! |

They are fun, but they are slow - even with the Kestrel hull, the Manti turns more like a destroyer or cruiser even. As for running through gate camps, screw that, give me an interceptor or covops over a stealth bomber any day. The cap sucks so bad on the Manti, you are best off just parking it in whatever system you plan on using it. Traveling in large systems is about as fun as watching paint dry.
Don't get me wrong though, I still love it hehe - I just wish the devs would give it a lil love back. Why there should be a breathalyzer to login to Eve:

You'll be lucky to kill anything with it solo but in numbers they can be devestating. How badly would you crap yourself if 10 stealth bombers suddenly uncloaked and launched 30 cruise missles, throw in covert ops frigs and force recon and you've got yourself a stealth fleet. Which is best? manticore has the advantage of being the only one with 3 launchers.
