As always, I apologize if this has been proposed before, but since I couldn't find it, here goesGǪ
Why not give ships with a self repairing bonus a bonus to receiving remote repair of the type associated with the ship (at a lower rate, maybe 2.5% or 3.5%/level)?
Of course to receive this, you could not have a self boosting/repairing module fitted on your vessel.
This would be a fantastic addition to the game as it would unleash a ton of new viable (Minnie and Gallente) hulls for logi fleet doctrines.
I don't know how the game code handles this mechanic, so I appreciate that it might be hard/impossible to implement, but it does seem like it would constitute a massive improvement in fleet biodiversity.

Those ships are already viable fleet options.
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I've been playing this game since the beginning of 2008, and honestly I very, very seldom see cyclones, myrmidons, brutix's, hyperions, etc. used in fleets, for the simple reason that to buffer fit those ships is to lose one of their bonuses.
Maybe your experience is different in some far-flung corner of space. |

At 3.5% you're still getting more repping power out of a ship with a 4% resist bonus. You'd have to make it 5% to put them on par, but even then you get more buffer out of a resist bonus.
