Dear RAGSTCOOFBOOBYIACXELFIXI-A-RD^2LV (and friends),
It has come to my attention that there is a rather large stoush taking place at the moment.
I feel it is my obligation to inform you of the unintended consequences of your actions, far reaching as they are in the 'verse of EvE.
As many who've suffered the losses of previous alliance wars do, i've taken some time off recently to reskill, recash and yea, re(ad) the forums an awful lot  . Whilst I struggle valiantly against my foes in Empire, the vicious Guristas, I notice more and more the lackluster and sluggish response times of my once glorious (somewhat faction fitted) missile spewing Raven of Death (TM).
That's right dear friends, your senseless violence is now affecting even we poor, beleagured (and somewhat underpaid, for all the risks we take!!) mission running brethren.
So I implore you, for the sake of free flowing ISKies throughout the galaxy, put away your blasters, your missiles, your space penii of destruction, and make peace!

I concur to OP... Just did a few missions with my alt for the first time in months, and the lag was somewhat awful... That said, will Eve ever be lagless? I look back on the times(a couple of years ago), when one could profit from having quick reaction time. I must say that the large collidable objects sure did look nice, but I rather have a lagless game.

So basicly you want peace to come into eve... because... lag?
Even tho Im a bit afraid of what will come, lag has never been an issue to me at least while running missions.
If something Im worrying what will happen when one of the rivaling forces crumble, its gonna be one huge force with no foes. So it will get rather dangerous, kinda like cutting random wires from bomb :)

I'll let you in on a little secret.
Out in 0.0 theres even bigger, juicier missions that can earn you fast isk at a pant creaming rate. If we all got peace, then every single person in this war could be running in one of these 0.0 level 4 mission hubs. That means every single person in this fleet, rather than just shooting each other, will have a deadspace full of NPC's lagging up the server even more!
So you see, we're actually doing the carebears a favour. Not only are we blowing up each others ships so you can sell things, but we're causing less lag so you can carebear more!
Now love us, love us! I demand it!

Not to mantion we would all be filthy rich meaning the carebears in empire would be relatively poorer. And its not just mission plexes in 0.0 that would be causing the lag - some of those 0.0 exploration plexes are somewhat large too .......

I like the idea of everyone being peaceful. Now if everyones' wartargets would just undock and sit there without firing their weapons or re-docking, we could clean the Eve database of oh so many lag-generating items!

I think that the people who are causing lag on the mission running nodes are the people who are actually on the mission running nodes, not the people who are on some, probably, unrelated node out in 0.0.
Do a quick character search for these names:
wfn
xlqr
abing
an8
They all have characters in the main caldari mission running systems 23 hours a days and there are many others like them. They and the others like them are probably responsible for most of the lag you experience. Right now I am in Saila and there are 125 people in local (1 hour after down time) From looking at names (random), bio's (or lack of) corp (noob corp), standings (agent related), response to being convoed (rejection) and a variety of other things I would estimate that mission farmers make up well over half of the people in the main caldari mission systems at this time.
Not only are they lagging your game to hell and, most probably, breaking the eula they are also making your mission rewards less valuable by flooding the market with them - it is them that you want to complain about, not 0.0 war makers.

:D Thanks to everyone who got the somewhat tongue in cheek nature of the thread. Was a slow day so i thought i'd go fishing .
