Does anyone know which categories of items are linked to which research skills?
For example, i would guess that research on the ship construction skills would get you (if your lucky etc) appropriate ship blueprints, but what about the rest? for example which skill would i need to research to get tech2 hybrid weapons, or drones or missiles etc? or is this just not known at the moment?

Haven't seen it anywhere. If I were CCP, I wouldn't have told you; I don't want everyone researching the one set of skills that lead to battleships and none of the others.

Well I can guess at a few... for example I have Rocket Science which I'm researching with my lvl3 R&D agent right now.
I'd guess that I might get things like Overdrive, Afterburner, or MWD BPs. 'Course, who knows?

Yes ... one assumes that, since rockets are related to, well, rocket engines, and nuclear turns up in a lot of minmatar stuff, that if you want to build a Minmatar Afterburner, you will need those two skills. Possibly others as well. But it is guesswork, albeit intelligent guesswork.
I guess we'll all be fairly surprised if Gallente Starship Engineering is not a requirement for building tech 2 Megathrons, though.

... I'd guess Rocket Science is related to rockets, other missiles and related missile launchers rather than propulsion systems? o.O;
(that's why i picked it, anyway ;.;
