Edited by: Siri Blue on 15/03/2007 11:29:10 Greetings New Eden!!! The Gallente Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Hedonistic Pleasures proudly presents:
The 1st New Eden Exotic Dancer's Contest!!!
We are currently looking for the hottest Dancers out there, be it female or male, trained dancer or amateur!
The winner(s) of the contest will be the new faces (and bodies) of our soon to come advertisment campaign.
Everyone who thinks he looks good enough and can dance can enter the contest!
First price will be a one year contract for advertisment as mentioned above and a NAVY ISSUE CARACAL!!!
(( Here is how it works: Just put up a contract item exchange to me located in Jita 4-4, Oursulaert 3, Rens, Amarr, Mirilene (Duvolle) or Gulfonodi (Native Freshfood) with any number of human livestock...and send an evemail with a link to the contract to me... Entries with 1000 or more human livestock can be made from any point of high sec reachable from Oursulaert instead of ferrying them there first.
Each Exotic Dancer counts as 1 entry. Each Janitor, Marine, Militant, Tourist or any other profession counts as half an entry. Each non-profession like Homeless, Refugees, Slaves, etc. count as one fourth entry.
Each entry has a chance of winning. The winner will receive a NAVY ISSUE CARACAL!!! )))

Some more background info:
I don't try to scam anyone, I hope thats clear... Entries are human livestock which (to my knowledge) have no value and no use in the game atm...
I felt a little bored...so I thought, I'd take something (a navy issue caracal in this case) and do a little event on my own as I happen to miss most Aurora events all the time...
So...get out there, collect all the human livestock you can find and contract them over to me so they can enter the contest and YOU might eventually win a NAVY ISSUE CARACAL!!!
Cheers! Siri Blue Gallente Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Hedonistic Pleasures

Ah...good point there...I was thinking of about 2 weeks till the word spread enough? I think a good number would be 1 million entries... That means when you enter like 1000 Exotic Dancers or 2000 Janitors (or so) you have a chance of 1-1000 to win the Navy Issue Caracal. ((And I don't do this for some mission offer, I do it for fun))
On another note... We are open for additional sponsorships to make the contest more interesting even

The rules of the event have been slightly altered so that it is gonna be more of a roleplaying event!
The contestants with the higest number of entries (Ecotic Dancers, Slaves, Janitors, Marines etc.) will come to the final round!
The final round will be done as a roleplaying event!
All contestants taking part in the final round will receive a prize (for this we are still looking for additional sponsors)!!!
A Jury will decide who wins (maybe I can win some Aurora actors for this)!!
The winner can chose his prize first, then the second placed and so on.
I hope we will see a fun competition and lots of participation!!!

Actually, I do not know of ANY lvl 4 courier mission where you could use ANY of the human passangers for as all missions have specific items as mission cargo...so much for that...
I actually do plan to do something with all the humans...there are plans in the works for a galaxy-wide reknown unigue, enormeous, marvelous, gigantic, extra-ordinaire, extremely hedonistic Super Pleasure Palace Holiday Resort Station you know
And I need staff for that!!! But thats all a secret still!
Where were I? Riiiight! I got scammed 100 million ISKies yesterday I was trying to invest into something really fancy for the contest Those pesky scammers never got me before...
Oh well, I will try to cover that with a few dozen more missions for the Matari *sighs*

Hey siri, After u repeatedly mentioned the competition at a recent protest rally, I thought I better check it out. Now its nice to see a comp that doesnt involve people pumping all their hard earned isks into a bottomless pit and I commend that.
Although, can you confirm the exact closing date for entries, and the date of the final round, I really dont want to be AFK you know.
Perhaps with all the mix-match of posts, it may be worth speaking to an ISD guy, getting the thread locked and a new post with sponsors so far and clarification of the rules to the top.
However I'll be getting my little bootie bouncing bunnies to jita tomorrow for ya, you can have them, their no good to me.
Anyways Mrs Athall keeps giving me evils when I speak to them.

I updated the whole thing again a bit... The Prize List has been updated and contains 15 Prizes now! And more will be added quite soon!
That means 15 people definitely WIN something!
Also Balle has been added to the locations where entries can be made , as it will probably be the place where the finals take place.
Currently there are more Prizes available than there are competitors yet!!!
Total entries exceed 10 000 by a bit, thats about 1000 Entries per player so far! So with 1000 Dancers or 2000 Marines you stand a bloody good chance to win a nice prize and even with much less, like only 50 or 100 you still have a decent chance of reaching the final round at the moment!!!

The contest is still open yes, I actually did not set an end date yet, cause spreading the word of the event and making people aware of it is a real toughy.
Sponsor responses have been good so far and the competitors are rolling in slowly. I'd expect the event to last another 2-4 weeks, I will have to agree on a date for the final round with some Aurora actors first that I am trying to win for the jury before setting the final date.
If you want to participate in or sponsor the event and have any questions just contact me ingame directly, send an evemail or post here.

You can get cheap humans for 1 to 50 isk per person in most regions, so PLEASE do not spend serious isk on humans! Anything above 100 ISK I'd consider a waste of money, so PLEASE please get your humans cheaply!!!

I have not freed that many slaves only to reduce them now to a lottery-ticket in your perverted play.
You - sir - are a disgrace for your kind and the really un-be-liv-able in this "contest" lies not within the sad fact that you reduced yourself to the scumm-level of an amar because of boredom but that you even give them an advantage through their open slave-market.

1) I don't quite see how I deserve this kind of insult 2) I don't see a much better way of handling an ingame rp event other than the way I'm doing it now 3) Slaves can't be contracted, so the Amarr have no advantage for sure 4) If you don't like my contest, don't participate, no need to flame the efforts of a player though trying to make a fun event for everyone else.

So after an entry of a little over 100,000 slaves, in addition to other dancers, Siri Blue was kind enough to toss in a special 'Humanitarian' prize for my carebear ass.
The 'Mining Foreman Mindlink' is something I can put to good use. Thank you, Siri.

This is the price of one moderately multicultural Malediction:
1531 Exotic Dancers * 87 Freed Slaves *** 1 Freedom Fighter ** 977 Homeless *** 1245 Janitors ** 3630 Marines ** 30 Militants ** 1150 Refugees *** 1150 Tourists ** --------------- Total: 9801 (= 99^2) humans.
* 1 entry each - subtotal: 1531 ** 1/2 entry each - subtotal: 3028 *** 1/4 entry each - subtotal: 553.5
Total entries: 5112.5 - only about 1/5 of Beletre's mammoth entry, but for about 1/10 the number of humans. Did you actually use a freighter to move all of those?
15 Slaver Hounds also sneaked on board somehow - I think they belonged to some of the homeless people
I'll be better prepared for the next event, so watch out...

Just want to say a big thank you to Siri for organising this event and the Beta Neural boost I won. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the dance off but it sounds like you all had a blast!

Edited by: Beletre on 18/04/2007 14:13:17 Let me check my notes....
19 Elite Slaves (4.75) 6960 Exotic Dancers (6960) 10 Homeless (2.5) 451 Janitors (225.5) 210 Marines (105) 1424 Refugees (356) 101,871 slaves (25,467.75) 362 Tourists (181)
Total, 111,307 individuals, 33,302.5 entries.
I think. I didn't keep real firm track of my numbers. And moved the majority of them around in a Itteron V with a bunch of cargo expanders.
Oh, also helped with refreshments. 5057 frozen food, 70 long-limbed roe eggs, 50,000 Quafe, 3556 Spirits, and 44,000 water.
I've picked up a bad habit of impulse shopping....
(edit: missed a decimal. Knew that number seemed too big)

Edited by: Siri Blue on 21/04/2007 19:34:42 All prizes except two +2 implants have been claimed. The remaining 2 implants will be added to the next event I'll host (hopefully soon).
I hope everyone had a lot of fun and will join my next little event as well ;)
Cheers Siri
P.S.: The total number of entries was 69640 by the way.

Beletre - surely all the numbers are in your contracts history? Or did you direct trade some of your 'entries'?
Anyway, great event - I'll have to have a look at the Amarrian markets next time... ------ Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant tanking |

Sounds like it was a great success.
Unfortunately I was detained planetside most of the day or I would have been there rooting for Frolicking Flock, the highly-talented Livestock spectacular.
