I can see this working only if interdictors are immune to their own bubbles. Otherwise you'll very likely lose your ship and pod from anti-support vessels. ___________________

Uhm. If you're too much of a chicken**** to stay and fight then you can always:
a) jump gate b) MWD away c) fight, ffs.

You can salvage a wreck when it still has loot in it, but after you salvage it, any loot still in it dissapears with the wreck. Thats how i understand it anyway. Unless they changed the fact that wrecks go poof after salvaging.
The loot is left in a jetcan after you salvage the wreck on the test server.

Many good changes and improvements, but I'm missing one:
Contracts -> A "search over all regions" option was added to the contract search window.

The first is irrelevent. You can do it regardless if you can or can't warp out. The second and third are possible if you face up against a small gang. ___________________

Tux clarifies the nano-nerf:
Originally by: Tuxford I don't think nano battleship is anything that was ever planned by anyone at CCP it just sort of happend,... twice (or more?). I'd definitly say that they are still viable, of course you would have problems with missile ships but in reality, turret ships aren't going to hit you and they won't get in web range if you're faster.
(Found in this thread.)
As you can see, this doesn't fix the nano situation. -Wrayeth "Look, pa! I just contributed absolutely nothing to this thread!"

1. kill enemies 2. MWD 3. use jumpgate 4. smartbomb bubble
4 counters for 1 module? Pretty good.

Just because you can do it always does not make it an any less effecient counter.

I wasn't arguing that it was an efficient counter, I was saying that it was irrelevent since you can jump regardless if you can or cannot warp in a bubble. ___________________

And I am saying it isn't irrelevent just because you can do it always. Drop the bubble, get to the gate, jump out. Dictor saved.

You forgot: 5: fire your DoomDasy Device.
To youre suggestes solution (not counters)
1: Kill enemies - usually it is 5-10 to 1, useless solution; 2: MWD possible but nerfed in this patch; 3: use jumpgate, 12 km while webbed to 1 m/s; 4: smartbomb bubble: again possible but with little chance of success, as you will be killed very fast by the 5-10 ganktards.
Bubbles have still infinite strenght, and that is wrong.

Edited by: Aramendel on 17/03/2007 11:27:45 3.) Despite popular opinion you do not get webbed instantly, nor does webbing instantly reduce your speed. Sure, a hauler with 5 cargo extenders and a t1 AB won't make it to the gate. Or a similary fitted ratting BS. Too bad.
Ships who are designed for that however do not have any problems. A blockade runner can do it easily. Childs play for frigates. Most cruisers with a MWD will make it, too. BCs and BSs with a travelling setup should also have enough momentum to bridge the distance to the gate.
The campers bring a specialized ship to make the bubble, you need to bring a specialized ship to avoid it.

Why do people allways have to post about stuff they don't know **** about?!?
You will have passed more than the first half of the 12km til hostiles even got a lock on you if you have an mwd fitted and the rest of it you will close in til the web shows any real effect.
Best chance to lose your ship is most likely to be unlucky and get bumped off gate again before you can jump. --- Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.

This will make a lot of people very happy (this includes me).... ...and certain alliances will cry a lot....
Oh, the sweet tears
It's REALLY funny seeing who likes this and who don't.
Anyway, after the gloating bit, back to critique: 1. The number of contracts is still too low, and the limitation of 1m minimum price on auctions doesn't seem to be touched. This is still killing the auction market for low-value items like BPC's that can't be sold otherwise. 2. Global contract search!!! Lovely!! Does this include being able to bid on auctions outside of the region they're located in??? 3. Invention. There doesn't seem to be anything that fixes the ridiculous long copy time of cloaks, which is a very limiting factor for inventing on them. 4. Starbases. As other people have pointed out, that they're not at the warp-in point means you risk hitting them and decloaking, meaning you loose your cov-op. Not a nice change..... Move the warp-in point to the center of the grid too....
All in all though, a very good list of fixes
General advice: Stop whining! |

- Logging off inside a warp disrupt bubble (mobile warp disrupt or interdictor bubble) no longer triggers an emergency warp.
Ok, so how I read this was if you log off inside a bubble while effected by it then you dont e-warp away.
So does this also effect ships who logoff before uncloaking at a gate. As from what I know and have read it wont.
My reasoning for this is:
If you logoff currently at a gate after you jump in to a bubble you can save your ship via logging off due to the effect of the bubble only works once you uncloak (different type of cloak when exiting a gate from standard). So does this mean that if you start warp a bubble can now disengage it like a scrambler or distruptor? or can this person still go to warp?
Basicly what im getting at is simple behind the waffle. Can you still logoff when cloaked on exit of a gate while in the radius of a bubble? (in light of what ive said above).
This can only be answered by a dev or someone whos tested it, dont read the patch notes and asume u know the answer please.
