I assume that armor tanks now passively recharge like shields now too then, yes?

I'm quite certain that dual reps are not stacking nerfed, only items that increase the amount that each rep repairs. So basically armor repair rigs. Shield boosters aren't stacking nerfed, just shield boost amps, and there was no need to add stacking to armor repair until the rigs came along because there are no armor repair amps.

Edited by: Venkhar Krard on 16/03/2007 21:21:49 I hope this is a joke.. Why ? Dual rep tanks arent boosting more than a single LAR. Whats wrong with them ? You wanted battles to take longer so pls do not nerf tanking setups..
EDIT : Oh my.. im glad it isnt true. It would make me whine a lot ;]

Edited by: The Slayer on 16/03/2007 21:32:02 Yeh but it says : Armor Repair values are now stacking nerfed like Shield Boost values. Doesnt specifically state a module nerf. So it might just mean rigs n ****.
Are two shield boosters on a ship stacking nerfed? Or just two SBA's?

Aye I thought the same as you at first bud but I think it just means mods (none of which exist) and rigs (ie just the one) that affect rep ammount now stack with each other, which is fair enough. . .
Although: Does this affect rep duration rigs? - - - - - - - - - -

I am pretty sure, dual rep tanks will still be the same. I guess it is just a stacking penalty on armor rigs, inline with shield boost amplifiers.
Not a bad idea, actually. But my 3x rep amount hype just got nerfed, I guess.... -- Paxton Industries Recruiting.

It can't mean what you say it means. Its not how stacking works. Stacking affects modules that modify an attribute (like resistance, damage mod). Armor reps do not modify an attribute, not like say a mag stab (multiplies damage mod and ROF) Therfore cant be affected by stacking.
The only thing that patch note can mean is that the attribute 'repair amount' now has the stacking penalty applied to anything that modifies it (aux nano pumps) so these modules will now follow the usual stacking penalty (just like shield boost amps.) I just had this argument with my corp. -----

If this nerfs dual armor rep amounts: Tux should be fired, TBH. Armor tanking is already underpowered compared to shield tanking.
Tux, you'd better explain yourself FAST, or risk losing most of your PVPer customer base. ('cuz we all know nobody bothers to armor tank missions anyway)

Edited by: Raivi on 16/03/2007 21:55:04 Guys, this only effects Armor repair amount rigs. And even then it's only a big deal if you have 3 of them, because the stacking nerf for 2 isn't bad at all.
The patch notes say that armor repair values are nerfed like shield repair values. Multiple shield boosters are not stacking nerfed, just shield boost amps (and shield boost rigs if they exist, I've never bothered to check)
The world is not collapsing, take a deep breath.
Now we watch as dozens of people who don't bother to read the rest of the thread before replying scream and whine about a nerf that doesn't exist.

Edited by: Segmentor on 16/03/2007 22:10:50 This could be a step to bring shield tanking abit more forward when it comes to pvp. But it does also smell abit like an another step towards bringing speed tanks in line with other tanking methods... But we wont go there. Too much discussion atm.
So, what does this "nerf" leave us with? Dedicated armor tankers will now most probably be forced to fit only 1 rep ammount rig to be sure they get the max effect for their money. Personally, i'd fit 1 rep ammount, 1 armor amount from now on, and leave the last T1 rig slot for things like damage/cap rigs depending on intended fitting and purpose of the ship. ---

Stop posting incorrect crap and stop proclaiming the sky is falling. Even with the new stacking penalty, a ship with 2 auxiliary nano pumps fitted will still repair 98.3% of the amount you get currently. Hardly a huge setback

What was the incorrect info?
Honestly, the patch notes are horribly written (as usual). Patch notes should NOT be heart-attack inducing

I read the patch notes before I saw this thread, and I interpreted it the exact same way many others did - that the armor reps themselves were going to be stacking penalized.
It is the rigs that are getting stacking penalized, this: - the comment should have been in the "rigs" section of the patch notes - the statement should have read something more like "armor rep amount rigs will stacking penalize like shield boost amount rigs/amps..." etc.

So what you're claiming the title of the thread is correct now? Seriously what are you arguing? Quit beating a dead horse. Issue has been clarified already.
But had you read the patch notes and thought about it a little longer, you could have figured it out without logging on Sisi. Are multiple shield boosters stacking penalized? No. Are multiple shield boost amps penalized? Yes. Are armor repair rigs currently stacking penalized? No. Will they be? Yes

Great, I got that. I also just put 3 armor reps on a myrmidon because the stinking RULES OF THE GAME made it worth doing. Now, it is no longer worth doing. I could deal with except for the fact that I have to throw the rig away rather than just refit it. So, it is not all related to shield tank boosts, which are a mod, not a rig.
Rigs cost a lot. That was intentional. One of my rigs was just made obsolete by a rule change. That simply is not fair, and should be compensated.
