Loyal and Faithful Peoples of Greater Amarr, Honorable Allies of the Caldari State, and Welcomed Guests,
We of the Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris formally announce our intent to host a fleet that will attend the military procession accompanying the coronation of empress-elect Lady Catiz Tash-Murkon, soon to be Empress Catiz I, long may she reign. Upon this momentous occasion, the apotheosis of a year-long ordeal in the wake of the loss of Empress Jamyl I, GodGÇÖs peace upon her soul, the united peoples of Amarr now celebrate the crowning of the next ruler of our divine Empire.
We would like to extend an invitation to all capsuleers who declare loyalty to the Amarr Empire, Khanid Kingdom, Ammatar Mandate, and Caldari State to join us in the procession and in honoring the new Empress. Other guests will be accepted at Praetorian discretion. We ask that those intending to join us make a public request on this thread and we will grant approval or denial privately in a timely manner.
Form-up will commence in the Amarr system on September 27th, one hour before the intended time of the procession, which is to be announced by Imperial authorities closer to the date of the coronation. This post will be updated once information is made available.
Preferred ships will be armor battleships and armor logistics ships of Amarr design. Energy neutralization and tracking disruption capabilities are also requested. We demand that heretical (Equilibrium of Mankind and Blood Raider, specifically) ships and colors not be displayed. Non-compliance may result in exclusion from the fleet, standings adjustments, and/or destruction of the offending ship. We thank you for your cooperation.

That that particular bit is a meaningless, empty threat unless Aldrith both actually intends to order the fleet to lose their ships at the hands of CONCORD's rapid-response teams and expects people to follow that order.

What I doubted is that you cannot see the grave tactical error it would be to carry out that threat, suiciding one's fleet over some random idiot's poor sense of taste in ship decoration. Especially when doing so would prevent you from addressing any real threat to the proceedings.
A grain of sand on the sidewalk is no impediment to traffic when compared to the boulder in the middle of the street.

Random idiots will be random idiots and not our concern. Fleet Captain Shutaq was addressing those who would request to be in this procession.

The threat is not empty. The fleet reserves the right to destroy any ship the fleet commander deems to be a threat or an insult to the sanctity of the occasion. No, we are not stupid enough to suicide anyone to do so, but if CONCORD rules permit it, the order will be given.

I am aware. I am simply expressing concern - a concern that was expressed by the person asking the original question - that a drastic kneejerk response to something as little as someone's choice of ship livery would risk the safety of the fleet and its ability to be of use to any authorities in the area should the need arise.
The recent attack in Kehour was clearly not an isolated incident. It was very likely a test of response and capability. If I had designs to cause serious trouble at the events this month, and I knew I could successfully provoke you into destroying your entire fleet over someone's choice of active nanocoating and effectively remove you from the field for a full fifteen minutes, I would take advantage of that.
I am all for consequences being meted out for pilots acting inappropriately during the proceedings. The difference is that I believe some consequences can wait until later.
Everything in its own time. It isn't as if we are lacking that.
And Aldrith, you know full well that I know how Crimewatch flagging works. But you won't be finding CONCORD flipping a switch over someone's choice of livery, which is listed as a valid cause for such action in the announcement. That is what spawned this tangent in the first place.
