I'd love to be able to sort my ships by race...pl0x CCP, currently I'm relying on prefixing my ships according to race and sorting by name, which isn't ideal |

Filters. Yes, that will take more work on the player's part, but once you make your filters for racial ship groups, it's done.

ah yes but the glory of that amarrian hull implies all but enough animation though, she shows life where infact there is none without the need for such extravagance as actually moving, it has transcended the need for such things

Filtering is not sorting. Helmet doesn't want to hide ships, she wants ships sorted in a specific order so that it is easier to look up the right ships without having to search for or filter for them.
Besides, however useful filters are, that part of the UI takes a lot of space away from windows and -- at least in my particular case -- is completely unfeasible because the filter/folder tree part of the inventory takes nearly half of the available space in my hangar windows, which means I would see less than before and filters would actually make it harder to find things.

I explode too many of my ships to encounter this problem, but +1 for the thought ( it counts )
