I'm having this issue too. It's already messed me over once while running away from a chasing gang. I've reinstalled EVE and resetted all my settings and am still experiencing this problem every 2-3 jumps.
Operating System: Windows 7 Professions 64-bit Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU, M 450 @ 2.40GHx (4 CPUs) Memory: 4096MB RAM Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
I'm not at all a hardware techie so if there is anything else needed then please ask. |

Would really like a response on this btw. This bug has me scared to undock and pvp since it happens to me every 2-3 jumps. |

DigDoug wrote:The patch today seemed to alleviate this issue for me somewhat, I played for a little under an hour and had a couple of jumps in which it took some time for the new zone to load up but nothing like that it had been.
Has anyone else noticed anything after today's patch? Nope. |

So I stopped experiencing this. Stupid as it sounds, I can only think of two things that may have fixed it:
1) I am on Windows 7 but had deactivated all my fancy themes, using the Windows Classic theme, a week or so ago. Yesterday I reverted this and started using the standard Windows Aero interface once again. Voila, bug fixed. 2) Either the above fixed it or me restarting my computer to reactivate themes fixed it. Who knows. |

Turns out my 'fix' isn't permanent. Almost lost a ship to it again tonight.

CCP Habakuk wrote:Hi! We are looking into this problem and it seems like we identified the cause: it seems like we are handling the case of a drifting client clock very badly at jumping (much worse than before Crucible). We are working on a fix for this.
Btw: The drifting client clock is very probably caused by your hardware and it might also cause other problems, for example incorrect shield and capacitor display or a wrong display of timers. It might be a good idea to check your hardware or try to disable over-clocking of CPU or GPU.
I suggest to relog your client before risky jumps as workaround till we manage to deploy a fix for this issue. I know that this is annoying and not always possible, but it will reset the clock and so avoid the delay at jumping (but the delay will start accumulating again). Thanks for the reply, but I have not overclocked my CPU or GPU. Could you please expound a little on the 'check your hardware' idea so us non-hardware-junkies can do so? :P |

Thanks for the advice but I'm not going to up and install Linux just because of this bug. :P |

CCP could you please give us an eta for Crucible 1.1? It would be much appreciated. |

clavo oxidado wrote:Seriously dudes, use the work around I posted. I did and it seems all my clients stay in sync now (prior to this, after 5 minutes the chat timestamps would start to drift apart). However it hasn't completely fixed the problem and I lagged for about 30 seconds after jumping a gate about 2 minutes ago. |

Well I am still experiencing it, even after having set it to every 15 minutes.
Hopefully tomorrow's patch will make this whole discussion redundant anyway. :) |

Yeah I must admit that over the last couple days, I have yet to experience any of this lag. I am however getting a lot of complete crashes upon jumping, but there's another thread for that.
I don't know if it's just CCP's fix or that I've also followed the stops advised by numerous people here to sync my clock more often. |
