I got 2 lots of Fuel Block BPO, but only asked for 1, the other choice was Aurum (CCP got it wrong, I got no Aurum)

What has made the game so successful and so immersive is that CCP created an alternate reality every bit as harsh as the one in which we reside. If you want 'fun' go play world of tanks, go play WoW. EVE isn't supposed to be 'fun' (the slogan was 'EVE is REAL' not 'EVE is FUN'). It's supposed to be a virtual world in which decisions have consequences, including the decision to ignore the multiple announcements stating when the (entirely too generous) gifts would expire. I missed out on the quafe zero on most of my accounts because I forgot the due date. I didn't come whining on forums or filing petitions asking for special dispensation from CCP. The reason I abhor forums is that it is now overrun with whiny EZ mode WoWtards who haven't the foggiest clue what EVE is all about.

If there was a banner ad that popped up during login, then it was likely one of the many that got obscured by the "update client" patch window. Which, for some silly reason never came up again. Really, someone has to do something about that. But, what I don't get, if I'm to petition this, what the hell category do I use? Reimbursement? I didn't lose something. Except the chance to get a free gift. I mean, really, I'm not gonna spend all day trying to figure it out. Thanks for nothing. Bah humbug. They should have sent a EvE mail to all the players in game. Customers should not have to hunt down the freaking info for stuff like this. Many assumed it would be like gifts on on past years through the redeem button. Not some obscure mention in a Dev BLOG about your account screen.

There was even a dev blog. So unless you didnt read anything, didnt visit the forums, or for some odd reason didnt check daily to see if theres a new dev blog, then theres no excuse...

I visit the forums when I need a specific answer. I read the dev blogs when I'm REALLY bored. (read hardly ever), and if I got 3 advert images, I'd be surprised if they weren't covered by any of the numerous patch messages that pop up, won't go away until you tell them to install or not, and can't be moved. And of course, AFTER the patch is installed, that "one time" message, doesn't come back. I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't sign up for EVE to be social networking in the forum. If I need a question answered, I'll look to the forums. If I want to buy/sell a toon, I'll look to the forums. If I want to moan, groan, whine and ***ch about the lastest Goon scam, I'll come to the forums. But that's about it. In the 4 + years I've played eve, I can say this is the first time I've seen a holiday gift FUBARed the way this one was. I hope it's the last. And I hope they have a quick, easy fix for it too. Though i may have skipped over it assuming it was about the cx-2 which was a xmas gift? Have been on the forums every other day, but not GD. Only messages i saw on the login pages were about the numerous patches and extending downtime. Didn't notice anything in the character select page. No e-mails Missed my gift, but i may have gotten a remap by default. I don;t really know as i don;t use them often. Oh well. there;s always next year

I was expecting a little gift icon with all the choices and I never saw it. I was not aware that I had to log into the Account Management page to select a gift**. The devblog said "Account Management Queue" which seems rather vague to me, if it had said "holiday gift page in the Account Management site" I would have understood. And apparently I never got the Eve Newsletter vol 70 that made it much more clear. Considering vol 69 came on Nov 30, it may show up in a week from now, which is too late... Oh well... guess I missed it. But please CCP, try to communicate better in the future, or at least send me the newsletters on time.
