Basically what other people have said, travel in packs, fast frigates that can use some sort of Electronic warfare.
Even if you lost 25 frigs, if you manage to kill a HAC or BS of his you'll find what you scoop in terms of loot more than enough to replace any losses, and be a good wad of cash for your corp to get off the ground.
Don't give him an easy target basically. And don't get downhearted, something like this is a great way of testing your corps togetherness, if you can work like this and suceed as a team then your corp will only be benefiting.
Also, investigate why you've been war decced, it's probably just someone who's bored but you never know, one mouthy member may have caused it, if you can acquire proof then get them out as you don't need unwanted friction so early in your EVE life.
I also apologise if I repeated anything that's already been said.

Not appropiate for a one man war but you might want to try this Guide for some hints. Good luck and enjoy your war.

Originally by: Blink00 Honestly, pay him. Most of these 1 man opperations are people who are ex pirates/mercs/pvpers in general, and will wipe the floor with anything a few carebears can throw at them. They are experts at empire war and have already done their homework on where you opperate. Be prepared to lose alot of ships if you decide to fight him.
disclaimer: Blink is not a 1 man carebear corp war decing guy, he just knows a few people that are and have heard the funny stories of what happens when they fight back
Why give up before you've even tried? If you keep your fighting force cheap you'll be able to lose quite a few fights before you've reached the pain treashold, and if you can score just one kill, you'll set the guy back quite a bit.
If, after attempting to fight, you feel certain that there is no way to defeat the guy, then you should look for other options, one being paying the ransom.
Also, don't waste hundreds of millions paying a merc corp to dec a one-man corp. It's just not economically feasable.

I'm about as carebearish as it gets but this is good advice to be honest, find him and give HIM a hard time, the old adage being the best defense is a good offense, and you'll learn a few things into the bargain

1. Add him to your address book 2. When you see him online, use agent to track him down. 3. Form a gang 4a. destroy his ship and ransom him (if he doesnt pay, pod him) 4b. locate him again and camp his station until he logs off.
I think that wardec should go away quite quickly.

These guys are usually pro griefers that do this to mining corps.
Odds are he has an alt in your corp, and he will use the alt to gain the location of you guys mining. Then he brings over his main and wtfbbq's you guys for no risk. Odds are you will not be able to hunt him down, as he will never be online actually playing.
best advice is definitely get him in your adress book so you get notice when he is online, but really there is very littel you can do because he won't actually be playing the character he war dec'd you with until you guys are happy mining away then by using his alt for intel which is most likly in your corp he will swoop in and kill you guys, once that occurs he will warp to a station and sit in their safely, rinse repeat this and you see you really can;t do jack. It is a broken dynamic of eve pvp.

Setup a mining operation.
Have 10 stealth bombers cloaked around your tanked-up solo-Dominix. Now all you have to do is make sure he comes by _______________________________________________

His corp ticker is (PAYME), and oddly we did have someone apply recently to join our corp. We never have applications as we are a corp of friends. Theres no spies in our corp.
I know the corp and character of the toon that applied. I'll have to make some equiries to see if it's them (with an alt).

Well, with that ticker, odds are he doesn't want to fight, and of course, you then want to fight him. On the other hand, it can be a trick, and he really is an nber PvPer, but you don't have to waste much money to find out. You can always pay the ransom later.
Now please disregard everything I've said. Always pay the ransom, and please don't ever show up to actually fight. I makes my job a lot easier :)

Edited by: Ponderous Thunderstroke on 20/03/2007 17:54:55 If it's truly a 1-man operation you're up against, fight back and take this time to familiarize yourself with PVP combat.
-- Don't accept any 1 on 1's, regardless of whatever names he calls you. -- Go everywhere in groups. -- Buy a few cheap frigates, fit only with tech 1, basic fittings. Get a good mix in your frigfleet of nos, warp disruptors, stasis webbers, and jammers/dampeners. These are not skills that are too deep into the tree to do quickly. -- If he actually has the guts to show up and pick a fight, oblige him in your very cheap, very cheaply fitted ships, and ruin his day by swarming him. Scram, web, nos, and jam him and pick him apart. If he's not just some hothead kid playing tough guy, then he likely has a semi-expensive ship, far more expensive than what your fleet will be worth if you build on the cheap. If that's the case, you'll cause him serious financial damage by blowing it up (not to mention the [EDIT]cash[/EDIT] he dropped to wardec you). -- Never chase him into lowsec or 0.0 space. That's an invitation to get caught in a deathtrap. -- Never, ever, ever surrender to this momo. He's trying to shake you down for easy cash. Keep a united front against him and show him you'll fight to protect your interests. -- and just my personal opinion, don't pay anyone to fight him. This is your chance to get a taste of PVP combat, and if you follow the majority of peolpes' advise in this thread (fleet of cheap ships, travel in gangs, use ECM and tackling to catch and destroy him), the worst you can do is lose a couple of very cheap ships. The worst he can do is lose far, far more. Again, he's already ISkies in the hole just by wardeccing you.
Goodluck, and take his head.
