Also, for the GPU, try to get atleast a mid range one (ex. 7600). All the low ends are crap IMO and i wouldnt trust them in any game.
My laptop plays Supreme Commander just fine, and it only cost about $1800. Not cheap, but not really expensive either.

TurboCache is just the same as the first one.
Generally when they add a word at the end of the video card it's bad news. Letters are different, but words means it's cheap and nasty.

yea it will easily and yes laptops are meant for games otherwise whats the point in one and prices aren't so bad for a good laptop these days

I'll give you a little tip, if you are willing to spend $1200 on a laptop within the next 8 month which gives you enough time to save from what you are willing to spend now, you should get a Dell XPS M1710.
They will be on sale starting in may for the new Santa Rosa launch.
I have one and I run Eve at 1900x1200 with everything turned on. Ok, I know Eve is not graphic power hungry so to give you a better example, I run Call of Duty 2 at 1900x1200 with all filters at max, now how does that sounds for a cheap laptop?
I've been looking at the XPS M1710, good to know that it runs Call of Duty 2 without any problems, I like the odd game of BF2 - Project Reality.
Whats the screen like, colour wise?

Yes, the XPS M1710 is just great and amazing. Screen size is 17", colors are quite vivid and I can use it outside.
Today, the XPS M1710 comes with an Nvidia 7950 GTX which is about 30% faster than my 7800GTX and I can run fine at maz resolution with all filters on at max, call of duty 2. So, I greatly recommend this product.
